Both of them was never separated after the huge news came out. Hyunjae would often hang out in Haey's house, trying to keep away from the people asking multiples of questions.

Both of the cousins never mind seeing the lad roaming around every corner of the mansion, trying to figure out where their cousin, Haey, is hiding. they both would also never miss a chance where their friend: Jaehyun, would look at the two with a bitter feeling.

"nonna!" Mark shouted from the stairs and went inside the huge dining room. he saw her outside the garden, full attention to the plants she owns in the garden.

"nonna Haey!" the girl averted her eyes to the running lad. "what are you shouting!?" she frowns and looks at the figure chasing him. Johnny points at him before collapsing in the floor, looking exhausted.

"nonna, please please give me gold coins! there's an ice cream truck outside!" he exclaimed excitedly while shaking the lass' pale hands.

"alright, alright but what's with Johnny chasing you?"

"nothing, we were playing upstairs and he has to chase me. now, please give me!" the girl smiles at her cousin and takes out two gold coins from the pocket of her dress.

"please stop running like kids." he nods his head happily before running pass Johnny. the tired lad stood up and chase the younger one again, trying to build energy again after the rest he had.

she chuckled at their cuteness and perfect bond. the two lads grew up with her parents being their guardians. people would always admire their unique features, for they were born on a different kingdom and  grew up here after turning 7.

"do you usually spend your time in the garden?" a voice behind her spoke. he snakes his arms on her shoulder and burried his head on her neck.

the familiar vanilla scent tickles his nose. he keeps his head burried there while the lass lets out a small jump from the touch of his pointy nose.

"perhaps, you just finished your fencing practice?" she felt his head nods. sweat keeps on falling down from his head and runs to her ears and neck.

"you have clothes inside my room, Hyunjae. it is placed in the bed." the lad lets out a huff before pouting. "thank you for disturbing my relaxation time!"

she smiles at his attitude before pinching his cheeks until it turns into red ones. "I will let you hug me, once you stop sweating." she stops before rubbing the red contusion.

"your hands are cold.." the lad touch them. "ofcourse, it's now autumn."

"now, let us go Prince Jaehyun." she leads the way to the second floor while the lad follows her behind with a grin on his face.

the two enters her room with a second floor where all the books Haey owns were placed. there is a chandelier above and an addicting incense beside her bed. their both shoes clicks on the wooden styled floor as the wind goes inside the opened window. everything was styled vintage.

Hyunjae jumps on the bed before letting out a yawn. "hey, hey. you are sweating intensly, you can't just jump there!" the lass scolded him. again, he lets out a huff before getting up and took his clothes from her hands.

"i hate you." the boy muttered before stumping towards the bathroom. she rolls her eyes playfully before walking to the stairs leading her to the second floor of her room.

...

she could hear him sing inside the bathroom and the door banging. she looks down to see him with a towel on his neck while buttoning his white button down shirt.

"you were fast than i expected.." she shouts at him before walking down, putting the book she was reading in the shelf. the girl helps him with his shirt, "i did not ironed this yet.." she giggled.

"it's okay babe, i won't hate you."

"babe??" she frowns looking up after finishing buttoning as he just shrugs before smiling, "it's a word i discovered, similar to darling." he answered.

"where did you learned that from?" Hyunjae sheepishly smiles, "from Mark and Johnny. they told me it was something you call to a friend." his innocence made the lass let out a loud laugh.

her laugh echoes inside the room with Hyunjae still remaining unconscious about what is happening. pair of feet walks pass the room, hearing the laughters coming from the lass. the high pitch laugh made him crack a smile.

those laughs were like heaven. it was too precious and cute at the same time to be heard. he wished he could see those sweet smiles while she laughs beside him. the way her eyes smiles also. however, all he could do was move on.

their days are already wasted and everything now turned into a memory.

he hopes the man standing infront of her was the man that really belongs to her. the man she can show her perfect and confident smile.

Hyunjae frowns at his sight. "why? is it wrong?" the girl nods while she keeps on laughing. "what!?" he added, looking surprise.

"it's a word you use to call to your significant someone." she answered between her laughs as the boy covers his mouth in surprise.

"h-how can you be sure!? you don't even speak their language!" he retorted, proving his point. the girl stops from laughing and lets out a sigh, "well a friend use to call me that and taught me some words from their kingdom."

the figure outside the door was about to leave when suddenly he heard those words. it did not cause a single pain to his heart. however, it gave a small struck of happiness. Jaehyun was still grateful the lass called him a 'friend' rather than a 'memory'.
