Our Last Waltz

CHAPTER 6

the boy got up from the couch after feeling heat hitting his pale skin. he saw the sun was already on it's position, the curtains getting blown by the wind. he glances at the latter that was sleeping soundly on her bed. it was a relief she didn't had nightmares yesterday.

Hyunjae walks to the other side of the bed and lays beside her. he pulls the lass beside him, letting her head rest on his chest. Haey responded with wrapping her hands around him and snuggles beside the lad's face.

"goodmorning beautiful." he muttered with his deep voice. she hums with her eyes close, "do not dare to move. you're really warm." she told, placing her other hand on his left cheek.

both of them didn't moved and enjoyed the cuddle. Haey plays with the lad's hair with her eyes closed while he just smiles while admiring the girl beside him. they felt both of their hearts calming and sharing beats as the feeling of rainbow starts to rush inside of them. suddenly, they found peace at each other's company.

despite feeling the lass' cold and pale skin, he never thought of breaking the hug. he saw how calm she was beside her and a small smile creeps on her face.

"shouldn't we be getting up already?" he heard her huff at his question. "alright, alright. maybe 10 more minutes?" he again heard her let out a soft huff. "1 hour!" she retorted.

"1 hour?! it's 7 am Seo Haey!" he heard her groan loudly, "okay, okay! 30 minutes!"

"10."

"no, 29!"

"15."

"25!"

"alright then, 25 minutes it is." she grins, opening her eyes to pinch his nose. she then returns to sleep again, snuggling her face beside his and closes her both eyes.

"can you sing me a song? even humming would do.." she told with her eyes close, hands beside her body.

"alright then, what do you want me to sing then?"

"a song you love?" he nods as a respond before starting to hum the song he picked.

she always love when the lad sings. he never showed it to anyone else except her. he even stated she was the first person to hear his voice singing. the way the words and soft melody he has always made her heart melt. his voice is precious that she would definitely hide it from the world but also wanted to brag about them.

he sang three different songs, while he hums the other parts he does not remember.

"25 minutes just passed, now get up." the girl opened her eyes and lets out a yawn. she sits up to stretch her arms widely. "goodmorning..." she tried to speak and let herself fall on top of him before giggling. "goodmorning, stupid."

"are you sure you're coming with me?" she asked the lad beside her for a ninth time already.

she was worried the paparazzi would chase him again in the town and drown himself inside the crowed. he nods as a respond before helping her sit down in the horse before sitting behind her.

"i told you, i know this town where no one would chase me.... except for debutants." she heard a sigh left his mouth while whispering the last words.

"teens? oh no, are you really that popular?!" she teased the latter while he just groans in annoyance.

"you should introduce me to the other man you know, maybe because of you i will find my true love." she proceeds to tease him.

"your true love is currently beside you Haey Suh, did you had your heart close all these times!?" this time, it was his time to tease the lass.

it made the lass startled on her position. she was holding a scream inside, trying to figure out what just happened. she heard him chuckle, "but I'm serious. do you like me?"

Hyunjae gained confidence after asking question, even hope his expression looks like he was teasing the flustered lass. but it suddenly turned into a serious one when he still not heard any answers from her.

"i-- are you kidding?"

"do i look like i am playing?"

"what?" she stares at his eyes to see full of hopes and honesty.

"are these affections and forehead kisses is still a way how friends treat each other to you Haey? don't you think it's now the time to let our feelings for each other be revealed?"

"what made you think I'm inlove with you?"
