Our Last Waltz

CHAPTER 10

Sometimes it always bothers Hyunjae how could God make someone like Haey, and planned all of this before they were even born. he would always look up to the sky, saying countless of thank you for bringing Haey to his life. yes, it is indeed precious.

Many things had changed when they made the news public. most of the high-class individuals were against the idea, especially ones that have daughters. however, the Queen never listened to those irrelevant opinions. she was more supportive to his son's choice. the only thing she was thinking was the health of her own son. she knows Haey has an important role in his health and wellness.

Every corner of the wide hall was full of friends, relatives, and high rank individuals that are attending the night ceremony. they celebrate with the biggest joy for the new crown prince to arrive. she was there right beside the royal family, sitting down while the view of people celebrating can be seen below them. there was a big hint of excitement seen in her eyes, every corner tells them it was genuine.

not even a second, the tall gold door opened and revealed the dazzling man wearing a white and gold suit, three gold star pins that symbolize their own kingdom are hanging on the his outfit. all eyes were focused on his figure as many smiles grew bigger, feeling proud of the man.

His eyes glanced at every people inside, giving them a small yet beautiful smile he owns. he can't hide the grin from the lady he spotted, sitting next to her mother and his older brother. he saw those crazy eyes that once made him lose his mind the lady owned. he was a lucky man to own her heart and world.

The ceremony began with multiples of vows and promises to the Kingdom and the villagers. he was more than proud to see many came carrying proud eyes in the ceremony. after the news of his lover, Hyunjae was worried about how it could affect the ceremony. but now, all the voices on his head were wrong.

Luca, his brother, glances over the lady beside her mother as she looks so proud over the man standing in the midst all the crowds. he could see how proud those eyes looks. now he feels why his brother was madly in love with her.

"I could see you're already ready to commit everything for my brother," he told to the lass, getting her attention. Haey switches her gaze to him before raising her both brows, "I'm sorry, what were you saying? I wasn't listening.." she told between her chuckles.

The Prince and the Queen chuckled back by her answer. "I could see you were too focused on my brother." he answered between his bright smile.

"don't be bothered about what he said."The Queen reassured the confused lass before they both return to listen to the ceremony.

There were endless multiples of greeting Hyunjae did after the ceremony ended as everyone starts to have a small festival inside the palace. his breath was already hitching while his older brother was just laughing at his current state.

They both made an excuse to leave the room and run to get fresh air. they were now both standing beside each other while the moon shines brightly in front of them.  Luca glances over his brother as he also looks back.

"a toast for the new Crowned Prince.." he smiled at the younger one before
clicking their both wine glass to each other. "i pray for your bright future."

they both drink the wine in one gulp. "so, how is it to have a lover before me?" he joked, "well it is great to have someone with you every day and feel home whenever you see her."

"you both look like you're already ready to commit." he gave his brother a smile as a response. "she's a definition of perfect in my eyes, alright? everything she has, her flaws, own beauty, and personality is too perfect to my eyes. she's everything a man needs."

"so you're that lucky man, aren't you?" he teases again, nudging his sides. "yes, brother. I'm that lucky man." he answered with his eyes rolling playfully.

In the meantime, Haey was brought back to her house early. with her both cousins accompanying her, they got to make it on time. she was feeling pain in her heart and sweats forming on her face continuously. she only needs her medicine.

"here, have it.." Johnny gave the medicine and then let her gulp the water he held for her. she lets out a sigh while her body was found on the floor, looking helpless with Mark supporting her head.

"nonna, we'll need Hyunjae hyung to know this. your health is barely getting healed." the youngest told to her. "i know, i know.." she whispered, feeling her breath was hitching.

she was feeling the worst this time. the night that should be celebrated with joy became the worst state for her.

"i think it's now the time for you to....." Johnny was not even ready to let those words slip from his mouth, he was holding his tears from falling down and letting know the others, especially Mark.

"to know your own life is in danger..."

"to go to sleep."

those words were meaningless for both unaware people inside. it was supposed to mean nothing, right?
