People would say love is in the air. well, for Hyunjae love was there in the air but it took him years to really knows what is it to be loved. however, the love only lasted shorter than he expected.

the duty being the newly crowned Prince was already around the corner and also Haey's fate. he don't know what to put first when both were what he desired the most. however, this time he picked his duty rather than sitting next to his unconscious lover and wait for her fast recovery.

"Prince Jaehyun, we will be in the dining hall." his butler once reminded him before he left the room, bowing. he nodded in return, still looking up to the clear sky from the window of his office.

"you can't be like this forever, Jaehyun." he did not respond to his brother. "I know, it's hard to handle this kind of situation and we gave you days to think." his brother proceeded. "however, now is your last chance."

"I can't do anything, right now Luca." he responded with a sick voice. "my mind is too empty for me to attend that meeting. I can't stand seeing someone important to me die..."

"you're letting your weakness appear again, Jaehyun." the latter stated. "you are a royal lad. nothing is more important than the duty of taking care of the kingdom's current state."

"putting your roles and responsibilities as a crowned Prince behind will leave a great scar to your heart in the future. Villagers will discriminate and disgrace you on how you manage important things." he spatted out.

"Winter is coming and a great storm is welcoming. every villager needs shelter, food and neither do we.. it is either you go back there in that mansion or let those people die in hunger and freeze in cold."

his words left a great impact on his perspective. Luca was right; today was not the right time to feel empty and sorrow for the villagers badly needs his assistant. in addition, he is the newest crowned prince and it would be wrong to pick Haey.

duty is duty. once the duty is done, tomorrow will be another day to solve what was on his heart.

he immediately got up, sliding off the anger he felt after hearing the side of his brother. it hurts him to see why was the kingdom was more important to him when on the other hand, his only soulmate is slowly dying. maybe because Luca never experienced love before and he was strict with his duty and responsibilities.

"did I caught you off guard?" Luca senses his sudden behavior. "I'm sorry. however, it is nice to see you pick the right choice." he apologized, stopping his younger brother from bursting out his anger.

"do not worry much, Haey will be fine and she would surely not die without seeing you first." Hyunjae shook his head before glaring at his brother and walks out of the room. "she really loves you more than you think! she's a fighter!" he shouted in the hallway before a smile creeps on his face.

"I'm also grateful to see you getting angry at me. it just measured how much you love the lass," he whispered to himself, seeing his brother's figure was slowly fading from the long hallway.

...

Hyunjae came inside the mansion looking exhausted as his face was covered with sweats. he entered the dining room to see them both eating dinner already.

Johnny and Mark greeted him before the tall one pulls a seat beside him. "sit my friend.." he smiled with food filling his mouth.

"how is Haey?" he asked grabbing a towel to wipe the sweats. Mark smiled before gulping down the food that was stuck on his throat, "great news. the doctor told she woke up earlier and had a long conversation with him. it also seems like she will be in a great state."

he can't understand the feeling but he was sure it was happiness. for he once felt it with Haey." happy to hear the news." smiled before taking a seat over the chair Johnny offered.

"now we can sleep peacefully without worrying about anything," Johnny told with a big grin.
