5 YEARS LATER
Lee Hyunjae. He's the man who she first met in her new school. though his background incident with Lin still hurts her, she can't admit it, her heart seems to be complete now that he is always by her side. her world was completed by the man when her days did not feel right. they both do everything they love by holding each other's hand, being there when one is lonely, and facing the war of life together. she never imagined anyone will ever be this lucky in life. it seems like everything came out different than she thought. no one including her never expected the man she first met in school will be there till her last breath. she discovered the meaning of her life in his eyes.
When their eyes first met, she was already sure he is the one. the feeling of nostalgia deja vu was felt as if that person already happened to exist in her life before she was even created. those eyes of the lad always shine pure and golden love. it feels so odd yet grateful to meet him in her life. she was capable to do everything with him by her side. a huge smile was always plastered on her face. after all those days thinking whether she should love him more, the day she never expected to come now happened to come.
"Uhm.." Hyunjae spoke on the mic. everyone inside the huge place claps and whistles, ready to hear the speech the groom prepared. "Lee Haeyoun... I guess it really fits well, doesn't it?" the crowds laugh at his words. "before you became mine, you use to be Bae Haeyoun, the girl who rested for years and years in a coma. the girl who I never expected to walk inside my life and fill it with rainbows and joy."
"I feel like I'm the luckiest person right now to stand right here and tell the world "I'm now her husband". but before I can tell that, I never thought chasing you was a big task in my life because you always see me as your only guy friend in class." as Hyunjae give his emotional yet funny speech, Haeyoun could not hide her own tears and sometimes cracks some laugh.
the night came fast, people in the place were dancing to the music "The Last Waltz" by Engelbert Humperdinck. the moon was shining below them, giving a peaceful atmosphere to the people. the trees sway together with them, the wind blows all the curtains aside, and the endless sound of cheering was heard. it was like the old days where no one cared about taking a single selfie, people were getting drunk, bands were playing 80s music, and most importantly, both sides of the family are getting to know about each other. it felt home to Haeyoun. it felt like she really belongs here.
"There are so many things I cannot put in the speech, now that it was already long when I checked it. I was so focused on how to describe you in my own eyes, that I never thought how long it was already." Haeyoun chuckled at the latter dancing with her. "happy to hear how beautiful I am to your eyes.." she responded, giving him a kiss on the forehead.
"I didn't even know we were supposed to write each other a speech. I had to make mine immediately after stepping inside the stage." she laughs. "that's my attorney," he winked. "I felt like you prepared that since the day you were born. I was so touched.."
she felt glancing over the shining moon, as it twinkles her eyes in many ways. she tried to convince Hyunja and move from their current position. then there it was. the only bright star that caught her both lovely eyes earlier. "thank goodness, you're still there" she hoped.
"I will end my speech right here, thank you everyone." everyone raised their hands, throwing ribbons and bouquets on the floor. his brother Luca now stepped down on his position as he felt it was heavy to carry the kingdom and his own family. likewise, he also felt it was better to give it to his brother who is currently living single.
