Chapter 2 | After 1000 Years

- 2021 -

After putting the final touches on the most recent painting, using her phone, she took a picture of the painting to upload it onto her social media account. A proud smile appeared on her face.

The entire routine was calming for her. Paint. Upload. Share. She liked showing her paintings to her followers and over the few years, she had gained quite a bit of a following. Some even reaching out to buy the paintings. It was a hobby that he started that ended up becoming a source of income. 

After seeing a few of the initial comments, Y/N logged out of her social media account and went to the living room. She grabbed a book on the way out of her bedroom. Y/N and Yoongi were never really interested in watching TV. When they were younger, their parents always referred to the TV as the 'Devil's Box' and prohibited the two young children from watching TV.

The two siblings didn't mind it all that much. Y/N was always more interested in painting and reading, while Yoongi only focused on his music. 

Y/N was sitting on the couch reading one of her favourite books when Yoongi walked out of his own room. The young woman looked up since it was very rare for the elder brother to come out of his room during the afternoon when he was usually busy making music or sleeping.

"You're all dressed up," Y/N noted.

Yoongi was wearing a very nice top with black jeans and a blazer. Yoongi looked at his sister and gave her a small smile.

"How do I look?" Yoongi asked.

"Absolutely handsome," Y/N teased with a small smile, causing Yoongi to roll his eyes playfully. "Is that what you're going to wear for the meeting tomorrow?"

"That's what I was planning on," Yoongi nodded. "Does it look too casual?"

"No, I think that'll be good for your meeting," Y/N answered honestly.

"Great," Yoongi breathed gladly. He had spent the entire morning trying to find an acceptable outfit for his big day. The day where he would sign with the company of his dreams. "You can come with me tomorrow right?"

"Of course," Y/N nodded. "You weren't honestly going to go alone, were you? Without your emotional support and manager?" She said playfully with a raised eyebrow.

"Great, thanks Y/N," Yoongi said before heading back into his room.

"Ready?" Y/N asked as the two siblings stood outside the very intimidatingly tall Hybe Building. 

"No," Yoongi spoke quietly. "Let's just get this over with."

"Oppa, you're going to do fine," Y/N grabbed his hand and smiled at her brother. "Just be yourself. You're more charismatic than you think."

"Thanks, plum," Yoongi said with a grateful smile as he squeezed the younger's hand.

The two walked inside the building. Yoongi went up to the front desk and informed the worker that he was there for a meeting with the President of Hybe Entertainment. As Yoongi was sorting out where to go, Y/N let her eyes wander around the impressive lobby of the building.

"Y/N-ah," Yoongi's voice caused Y/N to take her attention away from the interior of the building to her older brother.

"Yeah?"

"Do you mind waiting here? Apparently, there's a cafe in the lobby," Yoongi looked at her apologetically.

"I don't mind," Y/N said with a smile. "Good luck, oppa."
