As all of us ran back to the school, I passed a trail and stopped cold in my tracks. Anthony, Bree and Chad had already phased, so I communicated with them mentally. "Guys, I smell another spy. It's only one, go back to school and ill take em out." I said, telling a white lie. "Are you sure?" Anthony asked. "Yeah." I replied with a shrug. "Okay." Bree replied quickly, walking out of the woods. Chad and Anthony reluctantly followed, and as soon as they were gone I turned to the trail. Chris' trail. It went deeper into the woods. The idiot had tried to follow is even when he had no clue where we had went! Now he was probably lost. I sighed and took off along his trail, sniffing the air as I got closer. I stopped behind him when I spotted him. He was walking aimlessly and hopelessly through bushes and thorns. Yup, he was lost all right. I yipped and he turned around quickly, stumbling back when he saw me and falling on his butt into a pile of thorns. Luckily he didn't get stabbed with a thorn, but he was terrified of me, seeing as I was a wolf. I dropped my head and whined, showing him I wasn't a threat. He was still breathing heavily, and still tangled in thorns. I whined and slowly walked forward until I stood face to face with him. He smiled nervously and held out his hand, palm-up. I licked his hand and he scratched behind my ears. My tail thumped against the ground and I let my tongue loll out. His beautiful face was only inches from mine. I leaned in and licked his cheek as he laughed and wiped it off with the sleeve of his jacket.

"You're a wolf." He said. "Yet you don't seem dangerous." I licked his face again and glanced down at the thorns tangling him up. He slowly untangled himself and stood up, petting me again. He turned the opposite way from the school and wore a confused expression. "I'm so lost. Do you know the way out of the woods Wolfie?" He asked, turning to me. I yipped and bit his sleeve, looking into his eyes.

"You know, you have the eyes of someone I know. She doesn't have those eyes all the time, but sometimes her eyes are gold when she's pissed off." Chris said. I just wagged my tail and tugged his sleeve as I began to lead him in the right direction. To my surprise, he willingly followed me. He sighed. "You know, I'm only here because I really really like this girl named Kylie, but she seemed to be hiding something so I followed her into the woods. When I got here, she disappeared but I tried to follow her anyway. I don't know where she is now." Chris said sadly. I yipped and acted like I didn't understand him. Chris walked beside me, and I rubbed my massive head against his leg, begging for him to pet me. He reached down and brushed my ears back, making my eyes grown wider as I looked up at him. He looked at my eyes a moment longer and shook his head in disbelief.

"You really do have her eyes." He said.

"I'm probably just being stupid though." He added with a laugh.

I growled slightly to tell him he wasn't stupid. He laughed and gave me a puzzled expression before continuing to follow me out of the woods. We were almost there now. I looked up at him and he glanced at me. He licked his lips. They were so moist and pink and just- i guess the word I was looking for was 'kissable'. I let a low whine slip between my teeth to show my yearning. It was really stupid of me to love this human, but I knew I had deep feelings for him whether I liked it or not. Chris glanced up and saw the edge of the trees. "Cool, you really did help me. Thanks." He said, turning to me. I barked and wagged my tail. He leaned down and scratched my ears, lowering his head so my wet nose pressed against his. "I hope i see you again." He said. Then he pressed his lips to my forehead and stood, turning around and sprinting back towards the school. I still felt the tingle of his farewell kiss on my fur, and I let out a wine as he disappeared into the school. I quickly phased back and ran the same path he had just gone.

When I got back into the school, it was gym class. I ducked into the girls locker room and sat on the bench, not planning on changing or participating today. Bree appeared from the bathroom and smiled when she saw me. "So didya get him?" She asked. "Yup." I replied, leaning back against the lockers from my position on the bench. "Cool." Bree responded. I nodded and pulled out my phone, scrolling through random messages. I sat in the locker room throughout the whole gym class, thinking about how much Chris said he liked me. I couldn't let him know that I liked him that much as well, because then he would want me to possibly be his girlfriend. I knew I wouldn't be able to explain to him why I wasn't allowed to date him, and I wouldn't have an excuse. I had to keep my feelings for him a secret. He was so tempting though, I didn't know if I could succeed.
