Egypt waded into two kingdoms, known as Upper and Lower Egypt. The pharaohs were known as rulers of the Two Kingdoms, viz. upper and lower Egypt. While the labeling of "upper" and "lower" might seem counter-intuitive, with Upper Egypt in the south and Lower Egypt in the north, the terminology derives from the flow of the Nile from the highlands of East Africa (upstream) to the Mediterranean Sea(downstream).
Lower Egypt is to the north and is that part where the Nile Delta drains into the Mediterranean Sea. Upper Egypt is to the south from the Libyan desert down to just past Abu Simbel (Nubia). The Nile controlled everything for the Egyptians, so this affected it.
Lower Egypt The Pharaohs as Ta-Mehu ("Land of the North"). This part of the country was also divided into nomes or provinces. However, most of this land undeveloped scrubland, the organization of the nomes underwent several changes. Ultimately there were twenty nomes and the first of these was Memphis.
Geb wants to unify the kingdom so that he can control everyone in Egypt.
"You'll become the greatest thing that ever happened to Egypt, if this works," Nut said to Geb
It'll work, I've to meet Imhotep replied Geb
Apopis landed awkwardly in the land of the lifeless.
"Osiris has taken my life, I'll build my battalion here" Apophis boasts.
Osiris might have taken my life, but he has not taken my zeal and my cunningness.
"Get me, Imhotep", Geb said to his guard.
Imhotep arrived, and they had a long discussion.
"I have a great plan for Egypt. I want the lower and Upper Egypt unified.
Is this possible?" Asked Geb
"My king, this is not an easy task. But we can give it a try" replied Imhotep
"What are the steps to take?"Asked Geb
"Geb, when Egypt becomes unified. Who'll be the king?" Asked Imhotep
"Me obviously," Geb said with much assurance
"I don't think it's possible because the king of upper Egypt won't succumb to your plans" Imhotep let out with disappointment
"We can meet him and talk to him, I'm sure he'll think about it and give a positive response," said Geb confidently
"I hope so, my king. This is a dangerous task too" Imhotep answered before leaving.
This had Geb thinking overnight and what to do.
Nut woke up seeing her husband distressed.
"What happened, Geb? You've to rest and think of a way to meet the king of upper Egypt" explained Nut
"According to Imhotep, it's not easy and it's dangerous," Geb said with so much sadness
"We can give it a try. My husband please you've to sleep" Nut reassured
"Okay, Thanks for the suggestion" Geb retorted
Geb pretended to be asleep.
When he noticed Nut has slept.
He left the bed and went to the shrine.
" The pharaoh of upper Egypt is. Menes.
He married Neithhotep. A lower Egyptian princess.
Neithhotep is related to Geb.
In a way, this could help Geb unification plan" Imhotep asserted
