I looked at Zeva as she was sprawled out on my bed, playing a game on my phone. I was sitting on the floor, looking at all of my books and trying to decide which one I wanted to read. I was so glad that she was here, because I don't think I could've done this without her. She's my constant reminder that someone cares about me, and someone wants me to get better.
"I don't know which one to read."
"Probably because you've read them all ten times. You need some more books, and you still have some space left on that bookshelf, so I say we go look for some later."
"But Niall-"
"You're phone isn't connected to your wall, Liv. You can take it with you," she laughed.
"Yeah, but what if I have another break down?"
"I'll be there with you."
I nodded and stood up. Zeva handed me my phone and we started walking downstairs, and just as I was about to walk outside, my phone rang. I almost dropped it as I saw Niall's name on the screen and Zeva just started laughing.
"Hello?" I answered, my heart beating incredibly fast.
"Hey. Sorry, I was working."
"That's fine. Why didn't you tell me you're this big deal in the music industry?"
"It didn't seem important."
"Well it wasn't, but now I have friends that are just dying to be signed by your label."
"Liv-"
"Just hear me out, please?"
"Okay."
"They're actually amazing, Niall. And they're all boys and they're in a band so you'll make great money off of them."
He was quiet.
"You know, because, girls."
He laughed. "What's their name?"
"5 Seconds of Summer. They said that they've sent over a few of their songs, but I can have them send it again just in case."
"I'll see what I can do."
"Ugh, you're the best."
He laughed again and I realized how much I missed hearing it. It actually made my stomach hurt. "So how many guys is it?"
"Four. Luke, Michael, Ashton, and Calum."
"Oh, so they're the friends you've made? How close with them are you?"
"Are you jealous?"
"Four boys hanging out with my girl? Of course I'm jealous."
"I didn't realize I was yours."
"Maybe I need to do a better job of clarifying then."
"Would you?"
"Would I what?"
"Clarify what I am to you?"
"Liv..." he sighed. "You know I want nothing more to call you my girlfriend, but I don't think we should do a long distance relationship."
"I know." I looked at Zeva and she looked really concerned. "So what are you doing now?"
"I'm just hanging out in my room in London, since that's where my record company is."
"Oh. I guess I should have realized that that's where you worked. You always had to go there."
"Yeah, and now that you aren't here, they want me to work more."
