"You guys almost had sex!" Zeva shouted.

"Shh," I hushed her. "Zeva, we're surrounded by people."

She laughed and looked around at the large crowd of people in Starbucks. Most of them had their attention fixed on us, and the rest were trying to pretend that they weren't paying any attention at all. "So? They're never going to see you again, so it doesn't matter."

I rolled my eyes and looked at Luke. He was doing his best not to laugh along with Zeva, but I could tell it wasn't going well.

"It's a good thing the guys and I got out of there when we did then, huh?"

"I said almost, not that we did."

"But you wanted to?"

"Well... I don't know. Maybe? He was just saying all of this stuff and-"

"What'd he say that really got to you then?" Zeva asked.

"He said that he loved me."

"I'm sorry, could you say that again? I think I misheard you."

I narrowed my eyes at her and Luke turned me to face him.

"And you said what?"

"We kind of got into a small fight, but then he kissed me and things started to escalate, and then he told me he loved me again and I still didn't say anything. Then he asked me if I loved him so I knew things weren't going any farther until I told him I did, but I couldn't. I just said I didn't know."

"Are you really telling me that you don't know if you love Niall? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!"

"Of course you love him," Luke said in a much calmer tone. "How do you not realize that?"

"I haven't really done anything that's made me think that I do.."

Zeva gave me the most unbelievable look, and then turned to Luke. "Would I get in trouble if I hit her?"

"Yeah, probably."

"Why would you hit me?"

"Because you had sex with him! I know you Liv, and I know that there is no chance you would've had sex with him if you didn't love him. That's just not you."

"Maybe I changed."

"You haven't."

"I'd like to-"

"You haven't. The only thing that's changed is the fact that Niall helped you break out of your shell a little more, and now that I think about it, that's why you love him. Okay, that's not why you love him, but it's definitely one of the factors."

"Liv," Luke sighed. "I've only known you for a short time, less than a month even, but I can agree with Zeva on the whole sex thing."

I'm sure my face was a bright crimson because of how much the word sex was being thrown around, and loudly too. "Can we talk about something else please?"

"No," they both said.

I groaned and stood up with my drink. I walked outside and turned right to head to the beach and nearly ran into someone. I mumbled an apology and kept walking.

"Uh, wait!"

I turned around, even though I wasn't really expecting the person to be yelling to me, but when I saw the gorgeous smile on the face of a guy that was looking directly at me, I knew I was mistaken.

"Hi," he smiled, after he jogged over to me.

"Um, hi."

"I'm Justin."
