we both pulled away after a moment. i felt myself blush profusely. i noticed he was too.

"hi." he said. i smiled.

"hi, tyler." i replied. we stayed standing there for a moment, smiling like fools. even though we had places to be.

"oh- right. come on, follow me." tyler said. i grabbed my suitcases and began to follow him before he stopped me.

"here, ill carry those." he offered. i let him take them and he rolled them behind him.

i followed tyler out of the airport. he led me to a black car. i got in the front and he put my suitcases in the trunk.

when tyler got in, he turned the car on and then turned the ac on. it was extremely warm outside, given it was the beginning of july.

"i didn't mean to be late. i thought it was a five hour flight but then i double checked and found out it was a four hour flight. i'm sorry you waited there for an hour." tyler apologized. i shook my head.

"it's okay. you made up for it.." i said, referencing the kiss. he blushed which caused me to blush.

"can i confess something?" tyler asked me.

"of course."

"i have feelings for you. i'm sorry, i just knew i wouldn't be able to keep it in for the whole tour. i've felt this way since i first met you when you were 18 and i was 20."

i felt heat rise to my cheeks for the third time that day. turned out, i didn't have to confess my feelings for tyler. he did it first.

"i feel the same way, tyler. i was actually going tell you if you didn't already tell me first. but, you did." i admitted. i saw tyler smile.

"you do?"

"i do."

we were both silent for a few moments. i wanted to ask him what we were since we confessed our feelings but i assumed he was looking for the words to say. surely enough, i was right.

"(y/n), will you be my girlfriend?"

my stomach did multiple flips. i had wanted to hear those words come out of tyler's mouth for years. and now they were. i was overwhelmed with happiness.

"of course i'll be your girlfriend, ty. i can't wait to support you at shows." i said. tyler took one hand off the steering wheel and placed it on mine. it seemed to send electricity through my bones. much like the kiss did.

we continued driving and i realized i didn't know where we were going. i didn't know if we were heading to his house or straight to the tour bus. all i knew was that he was picking me up from the airport. and here we were.

"where are we going?" i asked.

"my house. we leave for tour in the morning. i hope that's alright." tyler replied. i nodded. "also josh is there. i hope you don't mind meeting him."

"i don't mind at all."

eventually, we made it to a small blue house. this, i assumed, was tyler's house. there was a guy with brown hair on the steps. i assumed he was josh.

i got out of tyler's car. tyler got my suitcases out and went to bring them inside.

"i'll be back, you guys can get acquainted." tyler told josh and i.

"i'm (y/n)." i introduced myself. i held out my hand for josh to shake it.

"oh so you're the girl of tyler's dreams. i'm josh." josh replied, shaking my hand. "tyler talks about you all the time."

just then, as if he were summoned, tyler appeared.

"spreading rumors?" he playfully teased josh.

"only facts, bro." josh replied. we all giggled a bit.

"come on guys. let's go to taco bell, i'm starving." tyler said. we all nodded in agreement.

we all drove to taco bell, tyler and i in the front with josh in the back, and i finally came to a realization.

i was exactly where i was supposed to be.
