It was only a short drive from yours and calums house but it felt like you were never going to get there. You finally got to the hospital, calum jumped out the car and ran round to the backseat grabbed the hospital bag and and helped you out of the car. He guided you into the hospital through to the maternity ward, you both went to the front desk "excuse me, hi, my wife's having our baby Y/N Hood, we rang from the car" calum said panicking the receptionist booked you in and got you a wheel chair. They took you down to your room and got you changed.
Once you were sorted and comfortable in bed calum rang his mum and dad "hey mum" calum said down the phone, you could hear what his mum was saying "You might want to come down to the hospital" Calum smirked as there was a pause "Y/N's having the baby!" he said with excitement, few seconds later calum hung up the phone "their on their way" he chuckled as he threw his phone down on the table. You and Calum had decided that you wanted a water birth but you had to wait a little longer until you could get in the water. You sat up in bed with your gas and air right next to you and calum constantly by your side. Half an hour after calum rang his mum and dad came threw the door "hey guys" calum said as the came in and you gave a smile while you had the gas and air between your teeth "c-calll, another contraction" you mumbled grabbing onto his hand and breathing deeply with your gas and air the contractions where becoming more frequent now and you couldn't wait to get into the pool "aw Y/N, bless you, it'll be all worth it when its over" Calums mum said as she looked at in aw from the end of the bed. Moments later the nurse came in "hi Y/N" she said as she walked in "i've just come to do a little check up" she said as she placed her clipboard on the table "we'll be outside" Calums mum said as she walked out with cals dad into the waiting room outside. The nurse did the checks "looks like your dialated 7cm Y/N, it's going at quite a quick pace, you could have a baby in just over an hour if it carried on" she smiled taking notes down on the clipboard "when can i get in the pool?!" you whined "anytime you want hun, just let us know and we'll run it for you" she smiled "can i go in now plea-" you asked but then cut off with another contraction "we'll get it sorted for you" she said, you nodded as you breathed threw the pain "your doing so well babe" calum said as he kissed your hand.
The nurse ran the water in the pool and helped you get in, the water made you so much more relaxed. Calum stood behind you as he massaged your shoulders, you held on to your gas and air in one and and placed your hand on top of calum hand "this hurts so much, i can't take it" you whimpered throwing your head on the edge of the pool looking up at calum, calum placed his hand on your cheek and rubbed his thumb up and down "your nearly there, just a little longer" calum reassured you, you threw your head back up and a huge contraction hit you, you took really deep breathes threw you gas and air "cal i think i need to push" you said as you stopped and looked at him "go get the nurse" you exclaimed calum ran out into the hall, minuted later he came rushing back into the room with the nurse right behind him "okay love, lets give you a quick check" she checked you over and looked up at you with a grin on her face "looks like your 10cm, it time" she smiled you looked up at calum in shock. Moments later your room was full of doctors and nurses "you ready Y/N" the nurse said you nodded and gave a small push"that's it, just like that" the nurse said "okay, on your next contraction i want you to give a big push down into your bottom" the nurse explained and seconds later a contraction came you gave a big push and you clung onto calums hand who was still stood behind you, you stopped pushing "fantastic the heads crowning, like that every time and we'll have a baby very soon" the nurse said. Another contraction came moments after you gave another massive push "that's it the heads out, just the shoulders and body now!" you threw your head back and groaned "keep going babe" cal said as he pushed your head back up. "Theres another contraction coming okay, on this we want the shoulders out" the nurse explained, the contraction came and you did another big push making the should come, you carried on pushing knowing that you were nearly there "well done, few more seconds" the nurse said as you pushed as hard as your could "i can see him!" said whispered in your ear. "He's here! congratulations" the nurse said as she pulled your new crying baby boy out of the water, you reached out and took him in your arms "shhh shhh, mummy here" you said as you craddled him in your arms "hey little man" calum said as he ran his finger over the baby's cheek, calum ran to the door calling in his mum and dad "oh my god" calums mum said as she slowly walked over to you with her hand over her mouth you looked up at them and smiled "look luca its grandma and grandad" you said as you tilted your arms so they could see him better, calum came back behing you and lent down and kissed his head "you did so well babe" she smiled as he kissed you.
