Chapter 2: Making a friend

A year had passed since that day. Despite being quirkless, Izuku still kept his head up high and continued to dream about being a hero. Today was his fifth birthday! and he had his best friend with him. His best friend being Katsuki Bakugo. He had the quirk that allowed him to make explosions. Although finding out Izuku was quirkless, he stuck by his side knowing of his 'little secret.'

"So you ready to turn a year older Deku?" Katsuki asked.

"Oh ha ha! Very funny, calling me a Deku scrub because I managed to beat your highscore with a Deku scrub in Legend of Zelda." Izuku said trying not to laugh for real.

Katsuki then gave his pal a noogie.

"So although you don't have a 'quirk' perse, I think you can still be a hero, so don't let blade for brains get to ya," he said.

"Thanks Kaachan," Izuku said.

"So I thought ahead and got you something," Katsuki said.

When Izuku opened it up, he saw a surprisingly well knitted All Might and Green Magnet plushie as well as a notebook.

"I know how much you like to analyze people's quirks, so I thought you would like to write them down. Just don't get too carried away with it." Katsuki said looking at the reader knowing damn well he is and the reader knows too.

"Thanks!" Izuku said with a smile."Hey, no problem Deku." Katsuki said playfully punching Izuku's shoulder.

"Hey guys!" Said a familiar voice.

That voice belonged to a rosy cheeked brown haired girl. This was Izuku's other best friend, Ochako Uraraka. Her quirk allowed her to make things weightless if she touched them with all five of her fingers.

"So I talked with my brother. He says he can take me to your party!"

"That's great Ocha!" Izuku said.

"So, how's that book you're reading?" Ochako asked.

"It's going pretty well, I even have a personal trainer to help me!" Izuku said.

"That's great," Ochako said, "maybe.."

Their conversation was interrupted by a scream. The trio rushed to where the scream was. Three kids were surrounding a girl with a hat.

"Leave me alone you jerk!" she said.

Izuku and the trio went forward to see none other than the bully, Shinji. His quirk let him create blades from his fingertips. He used his quirk to torment others whom he believed were weak.

"Don't tell me you're gonna try to be a hero with a quirk like that! It's pathetic! Hell, it'll be better off being a villains quirk!" Shinji said.

Shinji then started to grow blades from his arm. The poor girl started to brace for impact.

"HEY!!!" Shouted an angry voice that was specifically towards Shinji.

He turned to see Katsuki glaring at him and was joined by Izuku.

"Well if it isn't the quirkless Deku," shinji said

"I may be quirkless, but i'm still gonna be a hero and nothing you say will stop me!" Izuku shouted.

"Oooh I'm so scared. Hey Katsuki you're right on time. Join me in torturing this girl "

"How about... No," Katsuki said, "I may have a stupid-awesome quirk, but I'm not that kind of guy to use it on others like that!"

"Ooooh, so noble, no wonder nobody has respect for you," Shinji said.

Ochako then went up to help the girl up. While this was going on, one of Shinji's minions pushed Izuku to the ground. Enraged, Izuku got back up and punched Shinji in the face. Hard! The other two were surprised that Izuku would snap like that.

"You want some too punks?!" Izuku asked.

"No," they said in unison.

"This isn't over Deku," he said as he got up, "Let's go fellas."

The girl then got back up and smiled.

"That was nice homie, totes cool how you handled that hippie," the girl said

Everyone was confused as to what she just said.

"Wha?" Izuku asked.

"What?" The girl asked. "I just talk like this fam. The name is Camie Utsushimi, and I can make illusions."

"That's awesome! You can definitely be a hero with your quirk! You can trick villains and..." Izuku then started his muttering trance.

"More times than not. You should see the notebook I got for him! I wouldn't be surprised if he already filled the thing up!" Katsuki said.

"Izuku. IZUUUUUUKUUUU!" Ochako shouted trying to get him out of his muttering trance.

"Huh?"

"You were muttering again. Now uh... what was that?" Katsuki said.

"What was what?" Izuku asked.

"That... punching you just did? Your eyes seemed to have been glowing when you were throwing those punches!" Katsuki said.

"It's kind of one of the first things I learned from that book. It's called seven senses. It's said to be powerful and of course dangerous. If I wasn't careful with Shinji, I could have made his entire guts explode." Izuku said.

"Honestly you'd be doing the world a favor," Ochako said as she giggled at the thought.

"Yeah, I don't think anyone would miss him... except for his entitled parents." Katsuki said.

Little did they know, a girl around their age was watching them from a far.

"Izuku, let's go!" Inko said, "Its time to get ready for your party."

"Yay!" Izuku said, "Well I'll see you guys later."

"Sure thing Deku!" Ochako said.

"You're just going to be with him aren't you round face?" Katsuki asked.

"No!" Ochako said defensively, ".....Yes. But if you tell anyone about this I swear..."

"Scouts honor," Katsuki said.
