"I used to advertise my loyalty and I don't believe there is a single person I loved that I didn't eventually betray."
- Albert Camus, The Fall
Late November and the streets of Seoul were decked out in a myriad of lights that tinkled in the colours from deep warm amber to cold blue-white as the black limousine drove through the busy streets of Seoul. Jeon Kwan unlocked his cell, reading the messages he had gotten from a source within his son's group and he frowned. It seemed his son was up to his old tricks again.
The older man's frown intensified as he scrolled through some blurry images that showed his son in front of an apartment complex that was neither associated to the Raven Sun nor to Jungkook's little endeavour. So Jeon Jungkook, heir to the Raven Sun, was in need of a good talking to. He cracked his knuckles. He really had thought he had broken his son out of this unspeakable habit the last time. After all no Jeon man was a cock sucker, not under his watch and yet, his son had turned out to be one of those. A homo.
At first, when he had heard rumours, he could not quite process what he had been hearing. The rumours had angered him and he had lashed out towards anyone who would have the audacity to mar the name of his son and by default also defile his own name and reputation. But the older his son got, the signs became more evident and the rumours turned out to be true. He had thought that his intervention all those years ago had helped Jungkook to see the error of his ways. It seemed his son needed a little refresher, and this time he would make sure Jungkook would stay on the straight and narrow so to speak.
He contacted his source within the compound to get more information on the new gay lover – how he hated that word in conjunction with his son – he already knew what to do when he found out. He would put a stop to it for good, even if that meant to show his son how deadly his desires could become. But first he had to pay a visit to the hospital. One of the doctors was being recalcitrant and he needed to remind him who was calling the shots.

"Kim Taehyung, you are aware that the hoesik are team building events, right?" Oh Yoon-Shik asked and the young doctor nodded reluctantly. "I expect you to attend tonight."
"Yes, seonsaengnim," Taehyung replied and bowed. There went his evening plans with Jungkook.
"Here," Oh held out several patient files to Tae. "Take these back to the ward." The senior doctor demanded and eyed Taehyung suspiciously. "I'll see you tonight."
After another quick bow, Taehyung swung out of the office and almost collided with three men. Stepping close to the wall he let the men pass, a frown on Tae's face as he recognized the men, especially the one being flanked in the middle of the bodyguards – Jeon Kwan and he headed to the office of Kim Taeyeon, head of surgery.

Hoseok came into Jungkook's office and both Jungkook and Yoongi looked up from the files they had been perusing for the last hour. Both men sat on the leather sofas that stood at an angle towards the door.
"Your dad is on his way," the man said and puffed out his cheeks. "Junseo-ssi seems to be friends with one of your father's goons and he texted him."
"ETA?"
"Twenty minutes tops," Hoseok replied, watching his friend frown. "Junseo also said your dad has been getting info about you dating." For a moment both Yoongi and Jungkook stilled.
