The next few days was spent in utter chaos at Cloud Recesses. Many Sect Leaders visited. A conference was organised for the next month.
However, Cloud Recesses was saved from a pretty great disaster. The lessons were to be resumed from the next week. Thankfully there were no deaths.
Wei Wuxian ignored everyone and visited Lan Wangji and gave him spiritual energy just to avoid any complications. He would cultivate throughout the night, give away maximum energy till Wen Qing kicked him out and then sleep.
He continued this cycle for three days.
On the fourth day, Lan Wangji woke up.
Lan Xichen sat in the medical wing doing his missives, without informing his father, of course since this was definitely a rule he was breaking when he heard a very faint grunt.
"Wei Ying...." Lan Wangji opened his eyes and looked at his unfamiliar surroundings.
Right. This is the medical wing of Lan Sect.
"Wangji? Are you ok? Are you dizzy?" Lan Xichen handed him some water before helping him lean against the headboard.
Lan Wangji nodded as his brother smiled.
Lan Xichen silently sighed. Yesterday his father had strictly forbidden him and Yuwang from speaking of Young Master Wei. Lan Xichen couldn't understand why his father hated Young Master Wei so much? Wasn't it against their principles?
But after this accident, Lan Xichen knew better. Wei Wuxian was a walking miracle for his brother. He actually saved his damaged golden core even if they have no acknowledged bond. And how can he believe his brother dislikes him when the first name he takes after waking up from a three-day coma is of Young Master Wei's??
"Xiongzhang...." Lan Wangji trailed off unsure what to ask.
How is Wei Ying?
How long was I out?
Was anyone else injured?
"Wangji, you were asleep for three days. You should rest now. I will inform Fuqin and Shufu." Xichen smiled encouragingly as Lan Wangji nodded.
Lan Xichen thus went to visit his father in the Hanshi. Fortunately Lan Qiren was having tea there as Lan Yuwang sat silently next to him.
"Fuqin. Shufu. Yuwang. Wangji is awake," Lan Xichen spoke and was met with relieved, inaudible sighs as expected. Yuwang perhaps was the most expressive Lan he had met! Atleast he smiled.
"Did you tell him?" Qingheng-Jun asked his eldest.
"I didn't Fuqin." Lan Xichen spoke calmly.
"Good. Qiren you prepare for the lessons. Also, the lantern festival is a few days from now. We should prepare for it." Qingheng-Jun instructed solemnly. Lan Qiren nodded along.
A while later, Lan Xichen and Lan Yuwang excused themselves.
Meanwhile Wen Qing was relieved when she found Lan Wangji alive and kicking. Two days and he should be fine as ever.
"Young Lady Wen. I must thank you for saving my life," Lan Wangji courteously inclined his head.
Wen Qing dumbly stared at him.
She stared so long that even Lan Wangji shifted uncomfortably.
"Zewu-Jun didn't tell you how you ended up here?" She asked.
Lan Wangji shook his head. He was oddly offended as Wen Qing ridiculously muttered words like stupid, ungrateful and much more under her breath. But he was too proper to prod more. If Xiongzhang deemed it appropriate he would definitely tell him!
