Lan Wangji's heart felt cold the moment Wei Wuxian disappeared into the darkness. He stood helpless, gritting his teeth in pain as he struggled to walk. Beside him, Wei Xinyi had a blank look on her face, her arms twisted in the wrong way. They had only walked a few steps when Xue Yang stumbled over, spitting blood. Wen Xu clicked his tongue in annoyance but said nothing. No matter what, Xue Yang was a useful pawn!
Wei Xinyi wanted to drive a sword into someone. But, she was momentarily relieved that idiots like Xue Yang cannot enter Burial Mounds as they like! Yin metal is temporarily useful without Wei Lao's sword.....
Lan Wangji and Wei Xinyi were guided into the Wei manor where the rest of the Sect was already kneeling and rogue soldiers stood guard.
Wei Xinyi silently swore revenge.....upon these bastards!
Wen Xu smirked before sitting down on the Sect Leader's throne, laughing.
"Bunch of useless people! I should just kill you all!" Wen Xu spat.
"Wen Xu! Don't go too far!!" Wei Xinyi shouted, enraged.
Wen Xu lazily stared at her and continued smirking.
"Someone lock up Young Lady Wei and Second Young Master Lan in the dungeons first. Too annoying!" He waved his hands.
"Wen Xu! Your feud is with us!! Let Hanguang-Jun go!!" Wei Xinyi begged one last time.
"And why should I listen to a woman! You are beneath a man! Remember that!" Wen Xu replied, snarking.
Lan Wangji held her arm, shaking his head and the two were guided to two cells opposite to each other.
Wei Xinyi bit her lips hard, when she was pushed into the cold, hard ground.
She laborer her breathing, sat up and looked towards Lan Wangji who was wincing in pain, courtesy of his broken leg. The two sat in silence, million thoughts in their head...... about him...

Elsewhere, the Sect Leaders were once again gathered in Lanling, anxious and pale. Many minor Sects have been attacked by corpses and people have died. Understanding the gravity of the situation, Jin Guangshan called a meeting. Except.....there was no representative of Yilling Wei.
Fear gripped Lan Xichen's heart, knowing his brother was in Burial Mounds. Just then, few people were escorted into the main hall by Jin Cultivators.
"What happened?" Jin Guangshan frowned, seeing the interruption.
One of the older man immediately kneeled down, kowtowing and hurriedly spoke,
"Mercy Xiandu! Two days back, our Burial Mounds barriers were abruptly broken causing a huge commotion. This lowly one happened to pass by there and saw thousands of corpses at the border.. pleading Xiandu to help us."
(Xiandu- Chief Cultivator in Mandarin...uhh a CQL reference uk)
Everyone was stunned with the facts the man just said.
Burial Mounds barriers broke??
Thousands of fierce corpses?
And what of Wei Wuxian then?
Jiang Wanyin stood up, pale and angry.
"What about the Sect Leader? Where is he???" He spoke, Zidian dangerously cackling.
"I..this lowly one doesn't know!" The man spoke.
Lan Xichen almost fell back in his seat. His father was ashen and pale. Lan Qiren was no less worried and hurriedly supported his brother.
