JENNIE'S POV
I wake up to the pleasurable feeling of someone softly tracing patterns on my back.
A smile instantly spreads across my face as I slowly turn my head. My heart melts when I see Lisa staring at me with the cutest smile, her brown eyes glowing with warmth.
"Good morning, love," she greeted softly before leaning down to kiss me on the head.
"Good morning," I murmured sleepily as I turn my whole body to face her, wrapping my arms around her neck.
I bury my head in the crook of her neck, inhaling her familiar scent as I close my eyes again, pretending I can stay like this forever.
Lisa giggles, the sound like music to my ears. "Okay, one, your voice sounds so sexy in the morning, and two, I could definitely get used to waking up to this every single day."
"Good," I whisper with a small glare, though my lips curve into a smile. "Because I'm not planning on ever sleeping without you by my side."
She laughs, that bright, carefree laugh I've grown to love.
"I love you so much," she says sincerely, brushing a strand of hair from my face. "And I don't want to leave this bed either. But if we don't get up in a few minutes, your parents will probably come to check on you."
"Ughhh..." I groan, tightening my hold around her. "But I want to stay here with you all day."
Lisa chuckles, pressing a kiss to the top of my head.
"I want nothing more than to stay in bed with you too, but I don't want anyone saying I'm a bad influence for making you skip school. So... come on, up you go."
She gently pushes me off her and stands, stretching her arms above her head.
I groan dramatically but eventually drag myself out of bed.
Lisa rummages through her bag, pulling out a navy blue t-shirt. She starts to take off the shirt she slept in, and I instantly whip my head around to give her privacy.
Her laughter fills the room.
"You don't always have to turn around when I'm changing. We're girlfriends now," she teases, clearly amused.
"Sorry, I know," I mumble, cheeks heating. "I just... get embarrassed watching you change."
"Love, there's nothing to be embarrassed about," she replies, her smirk widening. "Watch me change all you want. It doesn't bother me..." She pauses, lowering her voice playfully. "Actually, it kind of turns me on when you watch me."
"Oh my god," I groan, rolling my eyes as I grab a pillow and launch it at her.
She catches it effortlessly, grinning like a devil.
"Hey, this isn't how you reacted last night. I vividly remember you moaning out in pleasure. No embarrassment then," she teases wickedly.
Flustered, I grab another pillow and chuck it at her, this time it hits her right in the face.
"Okay, okay! I might've deserved that a little," she says, laughing sheepishly.
"You think? Now turn around while I change," I demand.
Lisa sighs dramatically but obeys, giving me my turn. When I'm done, I walk over and slip my arms around her waist from behind, hugging her tightly.
She places her hands over mine, squeezing gently.
"I'm never going to get tired of this," she whispers.
"Me too," I reply, pressing my cheek against her back.
Eventually, I let go, and Lisa climbs over the balcony and down the tree with her usual recklessness, while I head downstairs to join my family for breakfast.
I make sure to sneak some extra food for Lisa before leaving the table.
"Mom, Lisa is going to take me to school today. You guys don't need to drive me," I say casually.
"Oh, that's adorable," Mom teases, giving me a knowing look.
"Our beautiful daughter is growing up so fast. She found herself an amazing girl," my dad adds, joining in.
"Okay, okay, very funny," I mutter, though I can't help smiling as I hug my parents goodbye.
I hurry outside and see Lisa waiting in her car. I rush over, climb in, and she drives us to school. When she parks, I get out and sling my bag over my shoulder, waiting for her.
As soon as she grabs her stuff and comes around, I reach over and take her hand.
Lisa looks at me, concern flickering in her eyes.
"You sure you want to do this? Sometimes people can be mean," she says softly.
"I'm sure," I reply firmly. "I want to hold my girlfriend's hand. To hell with anyone who's against that."
Lisa's lips curve into the brightest smile, and with our fingers intertwined, we face the school together and walk up the steps.
Some people give us nasty looks, but most don't care and go about their business.
We round a corner, heading to my usual spot before class. Jisoo is already there, waiting. The second she spots us more importantly, our hands, her jaw drops, and then she bursts into squeals of joy.
"I fucking knew it! I knew you guys were going to end up together! I shipped you two from day one!" Jisoo yells, practically bouncing with excitement.
Lisa and I both laugh at her dramatic reaction. Jisoo always had more faith in us than we had in ourselves.
"Without you, I probably would have never had the courage to talk to Lisa. Thanks for pushing me to be a tutor," I say, wrapping her in a grateful hug.
"Yeah, thanks for matching me up with this one," Lisa adds with a grin, hugging Jisoo too.
"No problem, lovebirds," Jisoo smirks proudly. "Damn, I'm good at matchmaking. I should seriously start charging for this."
I roll my eyes playfully at her as the bell rings.
"Well, I'll see you in chemistry, love," Lisa says, cupping my cheek and pulling me in for a quick kiss.
"Oh my god! You said the L word!" Jisoo squeals again, almost falling over with joy.
"Stop fangirling over my relationship," I tease as we head off toward class together, fingers still laced.
