JENNIE'S POV
As Jisoo and I head into our chemistry class, I glance around the room, searching for Lisa, but I don't see her anywhere.
"Looking for the person you love?" Jisoo smirked, nudging me.
"Very funny," I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes.
Before I can say more, Mrs. Jeon spots me and walks over.
"Hi, Jennie. How has the tutoring gone?" she asks kindly.
"It's going well," I replied politely.
"Do you think Lisa is ready for the test tomorrow?" Mrs. Jeon asked, her tone slightly worried.
Before I can reassure her, someone cuts me off.
"Don't worry, I've got this in the bag, Mrs. Jeon. Jennie is the best teacher... no offense," Lisa said breathlessly as she jogged over to us.
Mrs. Jeon smiled in relief. "I'm so happy to hear this. Oh, looks like I need to start the class." With that, she walked back to her desk.
Lisa turned to me with a fearful look on her face. "I'm so screwed for that test tomorrow!"
"No, you are not. As you said, you've got it in the bag," I said cheerfully, trying to calm her nerves. "Plus, we can study after class today. It's Wednesday, you go to work later, right?"
"I don't have to go to work at all today. There was a mix-up in the shifts and the boss doubled up. So he said I didn't need to come in," she explained.
"That's awesome, more time to study!" I said happily.
"More like more time to worry," she muttered, slumping down into her desk.
I gently rubbed her arm to reassure her that everything would be okay, and she seemed to relax a little.
When I glanced at Jisoo, she was smirking at me and giving me a thumbs up.
I immediately let go of Lisa and faced the front of the class, embarrassed.
After school ended, I headed to the library and found Lisa already there, waiting for me.
"I'm going to fail, aren't I?" she asked dramatically.
"Of course not. I have a practice test for you, so you can guess what some of the questions for tomorrow's test will be," I told her confidently.
I led us to a table, pulled out all my materials, and we immediately got to work. For the most part, it went well. Lisa worked hard, and after taking several practice tests, she finally started to feel like she was actually ready for tomorrow.
By now, it was around 4 in the afternoon. Lisa offered to grab food while I searched for another practice test.
When she came back, we ate outside quickly, laughing between bites, before heading back into the library to finish up.
By 6 p.m., we were both exhausted and completely sick of chemistry.
"How about we call it a night on chemistry and go do something fun?" Lisa suggested, her tone mischievous.
"Okay... what do you have in mind?" I asked curiously.
"Do you trust me?" she asked suddenly, her serious tone catching me off guard as her intense brown eyes locked with mine.
"Yes," I answered without hesitation.
"Okay, come with me," she said, grabbing her bag and leading me toward her car.
