Gasping, Loki reared up in bed. Looking around he wondered why he was dragged out of Sigyn's mind. Standing in front of him was his mother and Freyja, both looking pale. Healers raced around the room, pushing him out of the way as they fought to stabilize their patient. He finally looked down at Sigyn and gasped, his eyes catching at how deteriorated she looked.
He fell, sliding down the wall as Frigga and Freyja surrounded him. He clutched at his head trying to either forget the nightmare going on in Sigyn's mind or the sound of the healers trying to save her. Frigga knelt next to him, and held his head, forcing him to look up at her. Tears ran down her face, and by the stinging he knew he was no better.
"What happened Son?"
Loki shook his head; he didn't want to voice it. He knew the realm of Midgard hated him, but he never thought they would take it out on her. Was it a twisted vision used to warn her of what might happen, or was it the poison, twisting the good in the situation and poisoning her against him?
"She killed herself. She killed herself because everyone hated her for saving me and being like me. Even her own godson, Iron-Ass. Then, Fu-Fury killed her with my own blade, the one that I lost centuries ago..."
Frigga's face screwed up at the news, her brows furrowing. "Laeveteinn?"
Loki nodded, "Fury killed her with it. And I laughed, me! I was standing there, showing her that I never loved her, that I had better lovers than she could ever be. I had," he looked up at Freyja who looked ill. "I had you, and Wanda!"
Frigga turned around and gaped at Freyja who now looked like she was a ghost. The other woman shook her head and walked away, standing next to Sigyn. Frigga watched as Freyja moved away, her own heart pounding at the thought of the torture the poor woman was going through.
Loki groaned, his head spinning as he attempted to stand. "Mother, we need the team here. Maybe, they might... they might be able to help."
She nodded and left the room, leaving Loki to watch Freyja crying over her niece's body. The pain that he felt while watching her nightmares was still haunting him; the sight of her dead, hanging from the wall. It was too much for the prince, he didn't know what to do anymore, his presence in her mind went unnoticed and he wasn't strong enough to break through the torment. The only thing that was left was hopefully the help of the team, maybe even the sorcerer, Strange or whatever his name was.
Loki didn't know how he sat there. Freyja had left shortly after his mother had, leaving only Loki in the room. He tried to stay out of the way of the healers, but he didn't succeed to well. They had to threaten him with Mjolnir, knowing full well that no one but Thor could lift it. Groaning, the man rubbed his face, being so close to sleep when the sound of urgent footsteps wafted to his ears.
Looking up, he saw Natasha, Tony and Strange standing there. Behind them stood Steve, someone he could have done without seeing, along with another, Wanda. The trickster had to admit the sight of her brother was welcomed though. The two of them had bonded while they searched for the Healer. He was still kicking himself for not recognising the magic, but then again, he had thought Sigyn to have been dead. The others such as Sam and Clint, Thor- of course, and the android; Vision were slowly piling into the room. Standing slowly, he waited for the yelling, for the hits but surprisingly none of them came. Tony stood there, tears in his eyes as he stared at the sleeping beauty who hadn't moved an inch in several days.
"Your mother says that the poison the blade was coated in, is twisting her mind?" Natasha murmured as she stood next to the God. He nodded, his mind barely making sense. He couldn't believe that Odin had allowed so many mortals into Asgard; he hated mortals!
