It was rather easy to get Odin on board; and they agreed that it was best if Thor and Loki didn't know the truth. With the help of the head healer Eir, they managed to knock Frigga out long enough to arrive on Midgard with the team. Loki believed that he was the best at illusions; after the Allmother that was. Well, he was wrong. When Sigyn was a Tjener, she was often asked to find the princes, and neither of them saw through her illusions. All they ever saw was Eirik, Loki's personal Tjener.
With Frigga knocked out, Sigyn used illusions to disguise the Queen as Wanda, who had returned earlier with her brother. Thor and Loki believed it, and without being too much of a strain on her, Sigyn made a clone that fought with the brothers and Odin, while she appeared as Frigga, did what the Allmother had done in her visions.
The team didn't want to run back to Midgard like a pack of dogs with their tails between their legs, but they didn't have a choice. They may have survived the army Chitauri, but the Dark Elves were harder, and they needed people on the ground if they failed. The team agreed and left, leaving Asgard to the defence of their own. Heimdall, despite the warning that danger was approaching was still too late to stop them. He still managed to blow up one ship but sadly that one was merely a diversion.
From Frigga's room Sigyn could hear the explosions, the pounding of the gatling guns and the crashing of the kamikaze elves. The screams of the citizens broke her heart, and without alerting their knowledge of the attack, they couldn't help the people run and hide. The Palace shook as multiple columns were destroyed as one or more ships crashed inside. Seeing through her clone's eyes she watched as soldiers fell before the enemy even left the comfort of their ship. Growling in anger, she used her magic to draw out the destructive plasma like beams and returned them on the elves. With Dragonfang, she blocked any shots that were pointed in her direction, or in the directions of Thor, Loki and Odin who fought together in a circle, protecting one another's backs. Using Gungnir, Odin blasted any remaining elves, as he stopped to take a breather. Sensing no danger, the princes and Sigyn's clone were quick to do the same.
There were loud footsteps echoing in Sigyn's ears. She looked up at Odin, who returned her feared expression before nodding with the smallest of movements. Withdrawing her focus from her clone, she found herself back in the Queen's chambers. Pacing the room, with a blade by her side, Sigyn spoke, her voice calm, her tone making her cry. She knew she was saying exactly the same the Queen had before she died, and the thought reminded her of the consequences that were at hand if she failed. "Stand down, creature. You may still survive this."
The pale man, Malekith, approached her. "I have survived worse, woman."
Sigyn wasn't impressed, just as she hadn't been the first time. "Who are you?"
The Dark Elf replied, still approaching Sigyn. "I am Malekith, and I would have what it is mine." Barely paying attention, as she had heard it all before, she kept her eyes trained on the elf. Just as Frigga had done in the vision caused by the Ancient One, Sigyn had created an illusion of Jane, who hid in the corner. The moment Malekith laid eyes on the illusion, Sigyn acted. Twisting and twirling around; her blade cut shreds out of the elf. Sigyn knew that she couldn't allow the blasted creature to escape Asgard, not without drawing the Aether out of Jane, but at the same time, she couldn't allow Loki to join Thor to the realm of the Elves, as he would die.
She had quickly disarmed him and threw him to the side. Unlike the vision, this time they had an advantage, the knowledge of the second elf, a name that had only recently been discovered. As expected, the Kursed, the once Algrim entered the room and went to grab Sigyn while she was 'distracted' with Malekith; but Sigyn weaved under the monster's outstretched arm and plunged her sword into its back. The monster screeched in pain, reeling around to pull the blade out.
