Song for this chapter:I'm a mess~Ed sheeran
"Veronica, it's me again. I really need you to give me a call back. I just want to know how she is, is there a way I can call her or send her a email. A letter or something. " I stressed. "Please. I just want to know how she's doing." I choked out into the phone.
I allowed my phone to drop onto the bar as I took my next shot.
It's only been 3 days and I miss Morgan already.
My day is never good without waking up with her beside me. I don't know how much longer I can hold on.
"Tough night?" A soft voice questioned as she took a seat next to me.
"You have no idea." I told the stranger glancing in her direction.
She gave me a sympathetic smile before she waved down the bartender. "Two more shots of whatever he's drinking." She told him.
"Here's to stress." The girl told me as she held her shot up and passed me the other one.
"To stress." I chuckled before we both downed ours.
"What's your name?" She asked me.
"Chresanto." I told her.
"I'm Sky." She smiled holding out her hand.
"Nice to meet you sky." I slurred out before shaking her hand.
She giggled softly. "You had quite a few to drink tonight huh?" She pointed out.
I nodded smiling. "But Shhh don't tell Morgan." I warned her while placing my finger onto her lips.
She laughed again.. Wow this girl thinks everything is funny.
"My lips are sealed." She promised.
"Well, not really because you just talked." I pointed out.
She laughed again.
"So true." She chuckled. "Two more shots please." She called out.
The bartender brought them over and she gave me one again.
"How generous of you." I told her before downing the shot.
She smiled. "I'm a kind person." She shrugged.
"Indeed you are." I nodded. "I better get going before I past out." I chuckled while standing up from the bar.
"Woah, did you drive here?" She ask me.
"I don't remember." I admitted scratching my head.
"How about I give you a ride." She offered.
"See such a nice person." I said again. "Are you going to finish that shot?" I asked her eyeing it.
"It's all yours." She smiled pushing it my way.
She watched as I downed it before she stood up.
"Come on." She told me allowing my arm to drape over her shoulder as she guided me out of the bar.
My legs felt like spaghetti noodles as she lead me to her car.
I closed my eyes wondering what Morgan was doing right now, is this retreat helping her at all?
Once I opened my eyes again I looked around to see a couch.
She must have took me back to her apartment.
"You wouldn't tell me where you lived, so you can crash her for the night. I'll take you to your car in the morning" she told me.
I nodded as she took my shoes off. "Care for some cold pizza?" She asked me.
