Song for this chapter: love me like you do~ Ellie Goulding
Chresanto pov
"Thank you guys so much for coming." William said opening the door to his house.
"What exactly do you do for living?" I questioned as my eyes scanned around. His place was double the size of mine
He chuckled. " I own a few businesses , used to play for the lakers. Nothing too exciting." He said waving it off.
Morgan scoffed. "The lakers?" She exclaimed.
He nodded. "I don't want to make this about me." He said attempting to wave it off again.
What man doesn't want to brag on his accomplishments?
"Follow me." He said leading us into the living room.
"Karen. Karen" he called out.
"Coming honey." The lady responded
She came around the corner taking her apron off a smile quickly taking over her face. "You must be Chresanto." The lady gushed as she embraced me into a tight hug.
I stood there awkwardly as she tugged onto her pony tail letting her blonde hair fall down. "You two look so much alike." She said looking between William and I as her blue eyes lit up.
"I know right!" Morgan chimed in.
The lady's attention sifted behind me. "That is Morgan, chresanto's girlfriend." William told her.
"Oh, hi!" Karen greeted pulling Morgan into a hug.
"You two have a lovely home." Morgan complimented.
"Thank you." Karen and William said at the same time.
"So the letter?" I asked bringing the attention back to the situation at hand.
"Right of course." William said.
He reached over on the cocktail table grabbing the envelope which held the DNA results. "Would you like to do the honors?" He asked me with a smile.
I shrugged taking the envelope from him opening it.
My eyes scanned across the paper taking in the results.
"Well?" William said.
I opened my mouth to respond but nothing would come out.
Morgan took the paper out of my hand reading it for herself. "It was a match. You are his father." Morgan said in awe.
"I already knew that." William chuckled.
"Oh my gosh!" Karen cheered. "Sweetheart, come downstairs for a moment." Karen said into the intercom.
"Coming mom." A voice said in return.
Me and Morgan exchanged glances both realizing how familiar that voice sounded.
"Yes mom." The girl said as she came into the living room.
"Remember the brother your dad told us about a few months ago." Karen said causing me to turn around.
I locked eyes onto my new found sister causing my eyes to opened wide like saucers. "Joanna." I gasped.
Her and Morgan's expression both matched mine.
"You two know each other?" William asked.
"She um, she works at my restaurant." I spoke up.
"Small world." William smirked.
