Song for this chapter: He is we~ I wouldn't mind
Chresanto pov
"William." I greeted through the phone. "I hope you aren't one of those salty basketball players who suddenly hates the game because they don't play anymore." I said not giving him a chance to respond.
His laugh sounded through the phone. "Way to start a conversation." He chuckled.
"I got us tickets to see the Bulls game." I told him. "Only if you're up for it though." I was sure to add in.
"Seriously?" He questioned.
"Yeah man." I shrugged as if he could see me.
"Hell yeah." He cheered through the phone. "I'm down." He said.
I chuckled. "Alright, tomorrow at 6" I informed him.
I heard talking in the background before a females voice came blaring through it.
"Hi Chresanto this is Karen!" She greeted.
"Hi Karen." I said simply.
"I happen to over here you two have plans for tomorrow." She repeated.
"Yeah." I said.
"Would you like to bring Morgan tomorrow as well, Joanna and I can keep her company while you two are out." She offered.
I appreciated the effort.
"I'll talk to her about it." I assured Karen.
"Great." She chimed. "Goodnight, see you tomorrow."
And with that i hung up the phone.
Well that was much easier than expected.
I stuffed my phone into my pocket heading out of my office. "See you guys Monday!" I announced to my workers in the kitchen before I was on my way home.
I stopped to grab flowers for Morgan, just because I love her. I also grabbed Chinese food for dinner because I know she's going to be loaded with homework as usual. I don't mind though just being able to come home to her everyday is enough for me.
-meanwhile-
Morgan pov"Class dismissed." Professor Palmer announced.
I sighed with relief.
"Morgan, stay behind for one moment." He demanded.
"Again?" Noah questioned to me lowly.
I shrugged as the class grew empty.
I really hope he doesn't make a habit of chewing my ass up over these dumb journals.
He came towards me with a paper in hand. He plopped it down onto my desk and that's when I noticed it was my alternate ending assignment.
The 75% at the top of the page caught my attention.
I got a fucking C? I busted my ass for that assignment.
"Well this paper here only proves that you can write." He chuckled. "It was great, surprising even." He stated.
"Then why did I only get a 75?" I questioned.
"You forgot to double space, and you didn't use times new roman font. " he pointed out.
"Seriously?" I asked rolling my eyes.
"Yes seriously." He shot back with just as much attitude. "Didn't they teach you anything in highschool?" He shot.
I opened my mouth to say something smart but to only bit my tongue when I remembered he was my professor.
"Anyways." He said bringing the attention back to the situation at hand. "Like I was saying before, this paper proves that you are a very good writer just as I expected." He stated. "So where is this effort when it comes to the journals? Iv assigned 3 so far and you have completed none. "
I sighed. "I'm trying, I promise that I am." I assured him. "I just can't seem to free write off the top of my head like that, I don't do well with expressing my emotions to a blank piece of paper." I explained.
"You aren't expressing yourself to a piece of paper Morgan, you are expressing yourself to me." He corrected stepping a bit closer to the desk.
My throat grew dry as I nodded.
"So try harder." He demanded. "Have a good day." He said simply before turning away from me.
I grabbed onto my books hurrying out of the door. I leaned against the wall by the door holding onto my now sore throat.
I'm not sure what it is, but Something about that man drives me crazy, and not in the good way.
"You okay?" Noah asked as he walked towards me with two cups in his hand.
I nodded as he passed me a tea which I was extremely grateful for at the moment.
*
As I walked into the house I allowed my bag to hit the ground with a loud thud.'Try harder' he said in that deep ass voice. How do I try harder!
I kicked my shoes off feeling annoyed as I walked into the kitchen. "Hello beautiful." Chresanto greeted me with a warm smile and a bouquet of roses
My day just instantly got better.
"How was class?" He questioned.
I sighed as I walked towards him wrapping my arms around his torso laying my head on his chest. "I don't even want to talk about it." I admitted.
He kissed my lips in response. "well are you hungry?" He asked.
"starved." I chuckled.
He smiled in return as he began to take the Chinese food out of it bag as I smelled the roses placing them into water.
We took our food down into the family room where we watched tv while we ate.
I propped my feet onto his lap as I stuffed my face with beef fried rice.
Moments like these are so perfect. I wouldn't give it up for anything in the world.
"Oh yeah." Chres began. "I got tickets for William and I to go o the Bulls game tomorrow and Karen wants you to come hang with her and Joanna to do girl things I guess." He shrugged.
"wait you and William are going to a basketball game?" I asked him in shock.
"Seems like it." He shrugged again.
I tried to contain my smile. "why the change of heart?" I questioned curious.
"That day in the bathroom you were saying a lot of meaningful stuff. And I heard you, it may not have seemed like it at the moment but I heard you babe." He assured me. "And you wanted me to give him a chance, so that's what I'm going to do." Chres shrugged again.
"Stop doing that!" I chuckled. "Stop shrugging like it's no big deal,This is major!" I exclaimed.
"Whatever it takes to make you happy." He said causing me to smile.
I leaned over puckering my lips. "Give me love." I said.
He chuckled before kissing me.
"I love you Chresanto." I told him.
"I love you Morgan." He said in return.
I smiled the cheesiest smile before placing more food into my mouth. This boy never ceases to amaze me.
