Thank you all so much for your votes, comments, and/or adding this to a reading list, it means a lot to me! Even if you have no clue what the fandom is about, thanks for at least reading the first chapter! At the end, there is an A/N, but I can't put it up here or it will spoil. It basically just explains a few things. Now, onto the chapter! It's a bit longer, but hopefully that makes up for lost time. Enjoy!

Calavanya knocked on the door of her newest patient. She was carrying a tray of fruits, pastries, and a glass of Miruvor for the king's breakfast. In case Legolas was there and did not eat, she brought enough for two.

Legolas opened the door, and Calavanya sent him a warm smile. "Good morning, Prince Legolas." She managed to do a small curtsy, though he dismissed it with a wave of his hand and a smile of his own.

"You saved my father's life, there is no need for such formalities."

"If you insist," Calavanya answered, shutting the door with her foot. "I brought some breakfast for both you and your father. Has he woken up yet?" She set the tray on a nearby table, awaiting the prince's reply.

"Not yet. Is that something to be concerned about?" Legolas' blue eyes were filled with worry and concern for his father, which Calavanya understood.

"Both his body and mind have been through a great ordeal. He just needs time." This seemed to ease Legolas' worries, and so Calavanya decided to move on from the subject. "Please, eat. You won't do your father any good when he wakes up if you are tired and weak." Legolas complied, thinking it best not to argue with the healer, and so she decided she would check on the king.

When they had moved King Thranduil into his room, a tray of supplies was also set inside for whoever should take care of him. Fresh bandages and water sat on his bedside table, waiting to be used. Calavanya placed the back of her hand on Thranduil's forehead to check for a fever. Finding none, she smiled to herself; though, that smile disappeared when she realized she would have to change the king's bandages. She really didn't want to disturb his sleep, but she had no other choice.

A small groan interrupted Calavanya from prepping her supplies. "Your father is waking up," she called to Legolas, and he eagerly ran over. At that moment, Calavanya didn't see a grown ellon. She saw a worried elfling running over to his father, and the sight was quite endearing, if not a little personal. She turned her back on the pair as whispers of Sindarin met her ears. She busied herself with tidying a few things up, though there wasn't much to do. Her name reached her ears, and she turned around. Legolas was focused on his father, but Thranduil's intense blue eyes were looking into her own calm, forest green eyes.
