The rest of November and most of December had gone off without a hitch. The Friday where everyone had reunited, Dani ended up keeping her word and told Finn everything over cups of hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream. The former quarterback admitted he had no idea what to make of when he saw someone who he viewed as a little sister, locking lips with another boy.
Dani playfully punched him in the shoulder . "Hey!" Finn chuckles. "At least it's someone nice! You could've done way worse, like Jake" She makes a face. "Okay, you do realize we're somehow technically related, right?" Finn throws his head back laughing, dodging a thrown marshmallow.
But it was nice to be reminded that Finn viewed himself as an older sibling for her. Someone who she could always go to. Especially since Quinn still refused to be much of one these days, it felt good knowing that Finn was always looking out for her.
The last week of classes before Christmas break had finally arrived and it was safe to say that all drama for the most part was nowhere to be seen or heard. Aside from the usual gripes from Kitty or Coach Sylvester, who had both found Dani's newfound relationship with Joe to be bad for the Cheerios reputation, everything seemed to be falling into place for the young Fabray.
On the Monday morning, the walk to school seems more festive than ever, the houses lining up with lights and holly, or the corniest blow up Santa's with endless versions of the Nativity Scene .
Yes, Christmas was now officially in the air. So much so that she can't help, but feel it run through her veins.
