The past week has been intense to say the least. My old family is gone. Owen explained it all to me, and I was glad Marie was getting help too. McCoy and Hendricks haven't let up at all though. They watch me whenever they see me, and try to get me alone. We have no idea what they want from me, but it can't be anything good.

We finally have a lead on the case though. The boys managed the track down one of the drug dealers and questioned him. We have the location of a stash and are heading there right now. Apparently, they keep them buried behind the school. I can't believe we haven't noticed anything before.

Owen leads the way while Kota takes up the rear. Normally, only a small group would have come, but we were worried about all the unknowns. Pack is always safest together. We find the dirt patch easily. It's conveniently hidden by a group of trees. Nathan and Silas get to digging while the rest of us watch for anything suspicious. North and Kota take over for them part of the way through.

It doesn't take them long to pull up a metal container. Kota opens the top to reveal rows upon rows of vials filled with some sort of reddish liquid. We finally have a sample of the drug. We need to get it secure though. Kota, Nathan, Owen, and Luke head back to the cars immediately as the rest of us work to fill in the holes. We need to leave quickly. Once we are done we head towards the cars.

We are about halfway there when I feel a sudden pinch in my neck. I slap my hand on it immediately feeling something. I grab it and pull it out revealing a very small needle. The needle double as I stare at it. I stumble as the world spins around me. I hear the others cursing as they stumble as well. I try to fight it but I hit the ground as everything goes black.

My head is pounding as conscious returns to me. As the blackness fades away, pain replaces it. My eyes shoot open as a burning sensation becomes more and more apparent. I try to move my hands, but I can't. Chains bind me wrists to the walls behind me. Wherever they touch my skin it burns beyond anything I have ever felt before.

I look around. I vaguely remember being at the school with the guys. I hope they aren't here too. Worry fills me for my pack. I try to reach out through the link, but it feels cut off. I feel all alone again. I hate it. Pushing back the panic, I take in my surroundings. I'm in some sort of cellar. The cool stone surrounding me leads me to believe I'm underground. But where? I hear footsteps and immediately stiffen, on guard.

"Well, well, well the little mongrel is up," McCoy greets me as he makes it to me.

"I see that," Hendricks says coming up behind him. "Now we can get started."

"What the hell?" I ask not really knowing what else to say. They know I am a wolf? How? McCoy sneers as he steps forward backhanding me without warning. My cheek throbs as I glare at him.

"I don't think mutts are supposed to talk," he states moving over to the chains. He pulls them sharply making me whimper at the flash of pain they cause. "Oh looks like those silver chains are a bit uncomfortable. Perfect."

"Stop playing and help me set this up," Hendricks tells him. McCoy reluctantly walks over to him. I see what looks like an I.V. and other medical supplies. Once they get everything out, Hendricks walks over to me a needle in his hand. He roughly manhandles my arm shoving the needle into my vein. I breathe heavily through the pain. My stomach drops as I watch my blood flow through the line and into the bag they set up. Unfortunately he repeats the pattern on the other side.

"You were just what we needed," McCoy tells me approaching me once more."This little business is going to make us rich, but to sell products you have to have them. We need the secret ingredient you see? And you are giving it to us." I look at the blood and back to him. Shifter blood. That's what's in the drug, why it has that reddish hue. That's why those shifters had disappeared. It all makes sense, but too bad I can't tell my pack.

"Make sure to not bleed her dry," Hendricks warns him as he gets back up. "We can at least get two or three rounds out of her. These beasts do heal very fast."

"I'll be on my best behavior," McCoy promises licking his lips. I can't stop my flinch as he steps closer. Hendricks just rolls his eyes and heads back out. "We are going to have fun, you and me."

The comforting presence of my wolf rolls through me and I feel my eyes begin to burn. No longer needing to hide the glow I let her come forward staring him down. His smug expression falters and she curls my lip into a snarl. He flinches at the sound. He takes a couple more steps back before straightening and trying to look smug again, but I could still see the fear.

"Let's see how you feel when the blood loss hits you." He walks out following Hendricks, which I'm thankful for, but he's right. I'm only going to get weaker and weaker. I can't break the chains, and the pain is almost unbearable. I need my pack. I hope they are okay.
