It does hurt

In Gray's apartment, the two of us were sat on the couch together, where we first did it, and I was getting used to the new surroundings of what'd soon be my new home.

The space was perfect for a child, maybe up to five years old. Three bedrooms, my one would be opposite Gray's and facing the front side of the building. Our baby's will be between us, and equal distance from the other two bedrooms. It's relatively small, so five years old, possibly four, is when I should look for something bigger, most likely a house.

It's strange. I never plan this far ahead. I'm more of a "go with the flow" person. This baby is changing almost every aspect of me. Hopefully it's temporary.

"Have you told Levy yet?"

I hate having to break bad news to my friends. So of course I kept putting that off.

"No... I don't wanna dump it on her." I anxiously caress my swelling stomach.

"You won't be dumping it on her, she's probably expecting it anyway."

True. A while ago she did ask if I was going to move in with Gray, quite early on in my pregnancy.

"I guess."

"After you move in here she might get a place with Gajeel anyway, win win if you ask me,"

I'd love it if Gajeel and Levy stay together. They're polar opposites, yet they fit together like puzzle pieces.

"Oh, by the way, when are we gonna tell everyone about this?" His hand reaches for my bump, "because this won't be small enough to hide under my hoodies forever, y'know?"

Unfortunately, that is the case. Gray's hoodies are so snuggly but I fear the day I stretch them and the seams come undone.

"Mira's invited us all to the bar tomorrow night, maybe then?"

Short notice for us to prepare for, but we have to do it at some point.

"I am, but are you?"

It's been almost four months since I found out about this baby. I'm just surprised by how long I've managed to keep it from a lot of my friends for this long.

"Yeah."

_ _ _

Levy at first was confused as to why my clothes didn't conceal my bump when we're going to see our friends. As we leave our building, she pieces it all together.

She hadn't shut up about her excitement for the past five minutes, predicting everyone's reactions. Apparently, Cana is going to be the most dramatic about it, which sounds accurate. Natsu is going to act all prideful and pleased with himself as he's managed to keep a secret for so long - hopefully.

"Levy, there's something else I need to talk to you about." Now or never I guess.

She stops mid-pathway, pulling me over to the side to not get in the way of other pedestrians. Levy's an intelligent woman, she has a hunch already and her predictions are correct 99% of the time. She takes my hand, holding it between both her petit ones.

"Can I guess?" I nod, it'll be easier than me saying it out loud.

I've lived with Levy for a year and a half. The apartment was originally her cousins, after hearing she could have it she invited me to live with her in it as she likes the company. Most of the living space is hogged by all her books, each she's read over a thousand times. Our place is so cozy and quaint. I will miss it.

"It's either you and Gray are going to move in together, or you guys are now in a relationship. Maybe both actually."

Why does part of me want the second one?
