Gray's POV: 

"You said you had something important to tell us?" Loke reminded me as I sat down.

It was finally the time when we'd agreed to announce the news to our group of friends. I knew I'd be nervous, just not this nervous. I was sweating bullets. For once I actually cared about their opinion. Like it'd actually change anything though. 

"Uh, yeah," I scratched my cheek,"pretty... life changing stuff." 

Natsu was squirming in front of me, as he wanted to spill it himself. 

Laxus' laugh uneased me, "Life changing? Don't tell me. You're either moving away to another University, dropping out, or you've knocked someone up." 

My silence was no clear indicator. 

His smile dropped. "Wait, you're not actually moving away, are you?" 

"Nah," Loke said in confidence as he stood up, pointing his finger in my face, "he got Erza pregnant. I can tell by how much he's shaking. The last time you shaked that much was when you had that pregnancy scare like, three years ago? When you slept with Lucy's ex-roommate." 

He's smart, I'll give him that. He catches onto things quickly. Only there's a detail in there which I also have to tell them the truth about, another thing I'd been dreading.

"Not Erza." Gajeel commented.

Freed choked on his water while Laxus and Loke's jaws dropped. 

"You cheated on her? And got this side-chick pregnant!?" Loke's screech was loud enough to draw attention to our table. 

"I did not cheat! We were never together." The three stared at me like mindless sheep, "It's... complicated," 

I kind of want to avoid that whole talk and move onto the more important part. But they're awaiting an explanation, so I have no choice.

"It was my mum's idea that we'd have this arranged marriage thing eventually so Erza can work legally here and pay off the debt her mum owes, 'cause what she's earning right now is nowhere near enough,"

"That's not complicated. Why didn't you just tell us that in the first place?" Laxus scoffed. 

"There's a few other details, it's her place to tell you though, not mine." 

He made an "o" shape with his mouth. I guess the way I worded it was a small hint. 

"To be honest your fake relationship wasn't that buyable anyway. Something always felt off. No chemistry." Natsu commented. 

"So, who's the girl you got pregnant? Are you two together? And are you guys actually gonna raise a child together?" 

"She's a friend. She'll be coming here later. We're not together, but it isn't like we just had sex and that was that. And yeah, we're gonna raise a child together." I couldn't help but smile at that last part of the sentence. 

By this point, Gajeel had zoned out of the conversation, not at all interested in hearing about his cousin's sex life. 

"Wow... That's weird coming from you," Loke stated, Laxus nodded in agreement, "But I'm really happy for you, man, if you're sure you can do it and all."

"Thanks."

"So, how'd it happen?" Laxus smirked.

Gajeel rolled his eyes.
