It's been two days since Clyde and I went to the beach. After that, he didn't come by our house. I waited for him the day after. And the day after that. I know he will come. I will wait for him.

We're having dinner today and mom just got home so I don't have any reason to not celebrate.

"I got you a gift," mom teased.

I got excited when she handed me a box that says pyrrha.

A paper was there when I opened it.

We Part To Meet Again

This talisman features a pair of open scissors and the words 'We Part To Meet Again'.

pyrrha

"Thank you mom!" I hugged her.

"Oh and by the way, congrats on your successful show." I added.

I'm sure this necklace costs a lot.

I tried my very best to smile on the table. When the dinner ended and I came to my room, I remembered him again. We Part To Meet Again. I'm sure he'll come back.

I turned on the TV and watched barbie. No matter how hard I try to focus, I can't understand anything. My head always wanders through the thoughts of him. I couldn't be mad. Actually I'm worried. He might be sick or got into an accident.

My sleep was disturbed when I heard a sound. I instantly woke up. There I saw him.

I went closer to him until he noticed me. My eyes went to his hands. He's holding my jewelries.

"Wala akong ninanakaw pramis," he put his hands behind his back.

"Clyde..." I called.

And then the place changed.

We're on the rooftop and I'm leaning on him.

I looked at him and he did the same.

"Gawin natin bucket list mo," he urged.

The place changes once again and we're riding the ferris wheel.

He touched my cheeks.

"Edi ako 'yung magic mo," he whispered.

My hair is blowing madly in the wind and the sea waves are blaring.

He tucked the loose hair behind my ear.

"Basta 'wag mo nang uulitin. Mamamatay ako sa kaba, Cloe."

I blinked and there I found myself surrounded by busy people. My eyes spotted Clyde's back and I followed him. I  kept my eyes on him until it was just us two. No matter how loud I called him, he won't look back.

He walked across the road. I spotted a car coming his way. I shouted for him to move away. I tried to run to him but my feet seemed like it's stuck. He just kept on walking like he couldn't hear me.

The car kept getting closer and closer until it hit him. The screeching sound made me close my eyes and when I opened them once again I realised I just had a nightmare.

With heavy breaths, I turned on the lamp. I saw my reflection and instantly wiped away the sweat.

I stood up to get water because maybe it would calm me down but a shadow outside caught my eye. It's standing across the house and is just staring. Particularly here.

I decided to check on it. My steps are getting faster and heavier the closer I get to the windows. The very moment I opened it made me recognise him.

"Clyde!" I gasped.

I was about to come down but he signaled me not to and started to walk to our house. He's wearing his hoodie that covers his face. He looks like an actual thief.

Why was he just standing outside? I looked at the clock and saw that it's already 10 pm. I would be creeped out if I didn't happen to know him.

He reached my room after climbing through the windows. I stopped myself from hugging him but a smile cannot escape my lips after seeing him.

"Anong ginagawa mo sa labas?" I asked in a whispered manner.

He tucked his hands in the pocket of his jacket. "Pinalayas ako," he shrugged.

My forehead creased by the way he said it like it was just normal. Hello? Who the hell would let a teenage boy wander in the street especially at NIGHT.

We just stood there in silence.

"Clyde?" I called.

We can't just stand here all night duh.

I was supposed to say that he can stay here not until I saw it.

The clouds that we're covering the moon moved away and his face became clearer.

"Clyde?" I questioned him about the bruises that is recognisable in his face.

He looked away as if he didn't want me to see it.

I grabbed his hoodie down and made him look at me.

My brows furrowed in anger.

"Clyde! Anong nangyari sa'yo?" I demanded.

His hands traveled down to my waist and pulled me closer, hugging me. He rests his head on the crook of my neck. I felt his heavy breaths.

"Na-miss kita," he whispered.

I wrapped my hands on his back and caressed his hair.

"Me too," I replied with a smile.

I glanced one last look at him before leaving the upper room. The moment he laid down, he instantly fell into a deep slumber. I don't know what happened but I won't ask furthermore if he doesn't want to tell me... Just like him not asking about my illness.

I looked at the empty box on my bedside table. The necklace is now at the hands of Clyde. I gave it to him as a promise that we'll meet again no matter what happens.

I'm sorry mom.

It costs a lot but I'm sure Clyde is worth more than that. Worth more than everything.
