"Excuse me ma'am," Marielle raised her hand in the middle of our discussion in English subject.
The teacher stopped talking and looked her way, "Yes, Miss Maba?"
"May I go to the comfort room?"
"Go ahead," she nodded before resuming her talk earlier.
Marielle grabbed my wrist. "Halika na," she whispered. Since Ken is nowhere to be found, Noah decided to sit in his seat. Kaya vacant 'yung tabi ko and made it easier for Marielle to force me to join her.
"Okay lang ba na sumama ako?" I asked, my eyes widened.
She dragged me away from my seat, "Oo nga." I didn't have a choice but to follow her outside. Thankfully, the teacher didn't scold me. She's lenient for sure.
I walked inside the CR but halted when she just continued walking away, "Uy, dito 'yung cr diba?"
She looked back, "Sa canteen punta natin."
I can't help but to gape at her. "What do you mean? Sabi mo pupunta ka lang ng cr." I reminded her.
She stopped walking, making me catch up to her. "I lied," she smirked.
Wow. Unbelievable. I just wish I don't get dragged by her craziness.
"I didn't get to have breakfast, okay?" she reasoned. I didn't even realise that I was already frowning at her.
We walked inside the quiet canteen. I sitted at the seat near me while she ordered her food. The cashier was shocked when she saw her. It's class time obviously. No students should be lingering outside their classrooms.
Marielle made a shush sign. The cashier laughed at her and nodded. I shook my head.
She dropped the tray on the table and sat beside me. A sandwich and c2 each for us. I thanked her. She didn't have to.
"Baka mapagalitan tayo ha," I said and took a bite of my sandwich.
She scoffed, "We won't get scolded if no one will know."
We threw the trash into their designated place and walked inside our building.
"Matagal kang natutulog noh? You're always sleepy in class," I told her my observation.
"Insomnia."
I looked at her, "Talaㅡ"
She suddenly grabbed my hand, making me stop talking. "Shush." We stopped from our tracks.
"Bakit? Anong meron?" I whispered.
She looked behind me. We heard some footsteps coming. They're coming from upstairs. We're still on the first floor. The more closer they get, the more vivid their voices get.
"Teachers," muttered Marielle. "Run." she said before grasping my wrist and dragging me around the hallway.
We ran to the right corner, the CR is right ahead.
"Bakit tayo tatakbo? Pwede naman nating sabihin na nag cr tayo." I suggested. Thank God we slowed down.
She rolled her eyes, "Yeah right. And our room is on the third floor tapos sa first floor tayo nag cr."
She's right. There's a comfort room on every floor.
We paused. God. Not again.
Marielle's grasp on me tightened. There's people talking inside the CR.
