Mondstadt's skies were dotted with dazzling stars as Kaeya trudged to Starsnatch Cliff's peak. He looked to the side, seeing how tiny Mondstadt looked from up there. The cecilias danced with the warm breeze as Kaeya reached the top of the cliff. The fireflies danced in the wind, illuminating the night.
Kaeya sat at the edge of the cliff and listened to the sounds of nature. The waves crashed onto the rocks below as the crickets hummed their melody. The distant hoot of an owl filled the night's atmosphere. The cavalry captain sighed heavily as tears pricked at the corners of his eyes, threatening to fall. He reminisced about his past with his darling, wishing they were here beside him.

"(Y/N), be careful. We don't want you falling off the cliff now, do we?" Kaeya chuckled, watching your playful form run to the peak of the cliff.
"Come on Kaeya, we gotta watch the meteor shower tonight! This is supposed to be a big one!" You looked back as you called out to him. The two of you finally reached the cliff's end. You both sat in the grass with the wind blowing through your hair.
The meteor shower soon began. The two of you watched the shower together, enjoying every second of each other's company. The night was simply one to remember.
Starsnatch was normally the spot to go to with your significant other, yet no one else was there. The moment with Kaeya was simply ethereal; it felt as if the rest of Tevyat wasn't there. It was just you and him. You rested your head on his shoulder as you watched the glowing streaks of light spread across the night sky.
"I love you, Kaeya," You looked up at him, wrapping your arms around his.
"I love you too, my darling," He smiled down at you and kissed your forehead.

Kaeya finally cracked. A warm liquid ran down his cheeks from his eyes. He quietly sobbed. Oh, how he missed your talks, your smile, your laugh... all of it was stripped away from him so quickly. He was thinking of marrying you one day, but it was no good now. You were gone, and he couldn't bring you back.
As he wept, a butterfly soon landed on his knee. Kaeya lifted his head from his arms and he stared at the insect. The delicate creature stayed put on Kaeya's knee as he observed the intricate patterns of the wings. Soon after, more butterflies swarmed over to Kaeya, fluttering around him. The scene was gorgeous and almost unreal. One of the butterflies landed on Kaeya's nose, closing its wings and just staying still.
Ever since you passed away, everything seemed to crumble around Kaeya and collapse. For once, Kaeya felt as if everything was going to be okay as the butterflies waltzed in the night's breeze.
