The small chime of a door's bell rang throughout the coffee joint, signalling the arrival of a customer. A tall, blue haired man with dark skin entered the cafe. He glanced around the place. Quiet jazz music rang in his ears as he walked up to the register, looking up at the menu's options.

Currently, no one was at the register since the only employee working was grinding up coffee beans for another order. The customer didn't mind this though, as he needed more time to decide what he wanted to start his morning with. After finishing the drink, the worker noticed the customer waiting and rushed over.

"I'm so sorry to keep you waiting, sir! What can I get for you today?" The worker apologized, preparing to get scolded by the customer.

"No, it's okay," He paused to look at their nametag. "(Y/N). I understand you're the only employee at the moment." He smiled at them and proceeded to say his order. "I'll take an iced caramel macchiato, please."

The worker, (Y/N), smiled back. "Alright, will that be all for you today?"
"Yep!"
"Cool, can I get the name for your order?"

The blue haired man smiled once again before answering. "Kaeya."

"Your total will be $4.46."

Handing the money to (Y/N), Kaeya received his change and slipped a tip into the jar.

Kaeya sat down at the closest table to the counter, waiting for his coffee to finish so he could go to his university campus. He looked around the cafe, taking in the calming scenery. The walls were a shade of dark brown, letting the dimly lit lights illuminate them. The atmosphere was close to perfect for studying. He thought perhaps after his lecture, he'd come back to study for his midterm exam.

"Order 78!" The worker called out. Glancing at his receipt, the blue haired main stood up to grab his coffee order. The barista smiled at him. "I hope you have a good day, sir."
"You too, mx," He took the coffee from the counter and waved goodbye before walking out of the coffee shop.

The clock chimed 3:00 P.M., signalling that class was over. Kaeya packed up his things and left the classroom, ready to head back to the coffee store. Beforehand, he needed to hand in a paper he completed the night prior to one of his teachers.

He strolled down the halls, looking at the room's numbers to make sure he's going to the right place. B203, B205, aha! B207 came into his field of vision as he approached the closed door. Turning the knob, he entered the frigid room to be met with his professor and another student chatting. Patiently waiting for their conversation to end, Kaeya clutched his paper in his hand and looked down at the ground.

"I hope you have a good day, (Y/N)," the professor bid the student farewell as they grabbed their things.

'(Y/N).. I feel as if I know that name. It's ringing a bell, but I don't seem to remember where I've heard it,' Kaeya thought. As the student turned away, Kaeya finally remembered where he saw them. The coffee shop earlier that morning. As they looked each other in the eyes, they both shared a smile before (Y/N) walked out.

Kaeya quickly handed in his paper and said goodbye to his professor before trying to catch up with the person he saw earlier. Catching a glimpse of their (H/L), (H/C) locks, he dashed to catch up with them.

"Hey! You're from the coffee shop earlier, right?" Kaeya asked them, watching them turn around to face him.

(Y/N) looked him up and down, then nodded. "Yep, seems about right! I knew I recognized you from somewhere. Small world this is, eh?"

Kaeya chuckled and nodded. "Yeah, who would've known," He awkwardly added, earning a small laugh from (Y/N).

"I'm actually heading back to the shop now, if you'd like to join me," They offered. "Of course, you don't have to! I just thought it would be nice if-"
"I would like that, a lot," Kaeya smiled at the person in front of them, cutting off their ramble's beginning.

"Cool!"

"Cool."

The two university students started to walk out of the building, happily chatting about themself and who they are. Little did they know, a little flower bud of love was soon about to blossom between them.
