Exhaustion washed over you as you swung your claymore once more, knocking over another wave of treasure hoarders. They just kept coming; one after another waves of four to nine hoarders would come and try to steal your belongings. I guess this was the price you had to pay by being cheap and setting up a tent rather than paying for an inn in the city. Your breathing was heavy, your heart thumping against your ribcage. You just couldn't catch a break from the pirates.
On the brink of blacking out, you caught a glimpse of a wave of fire knocking down the last wave. The other hoarders retreated as you were accompanied now, by a vision user nonetheless.
"What are ya thinking staying out here!? This place is loaded with those rapscallions!" The pyro user asked with worry and a hint of anger.
You stood there looking at the girl dumbfounded. You didn't know what to say, let alone think. Fatigue was taking over your brain, at a rapid rate, too. You ended up collapsing on the ground in front of the woman; the last thing you saw was her rushing to your aid.

Rays of an evening sun shone on your face as your eyes fluttered open. Your head was pounding as if someone had stabbed you in the head and was twisting the knife around. Your entire body felt weak, and you were sure you looked disheveled.
"Oh, good mornin'! You're finally awake," you heard someone call out from a different room. There in the doorway you saw the same vision holder as before holding a cup. "Drink this, it'll help you heal some."
"Thank you... but who exactly are you?" You asked, squinting your eyes questioningly.
"Xinyan's the name. And you are?"
"(Y/N)," You answered curtly. You didn't know where you were, how you got there, and most importantly what happened to all your belongings. You looked around the room and saw your sack with your claymore leaning up against the wall. Ah, so that's where it is.
Xinyan set the tea she brewed down for you to take. "So what were you doing out in the middle of Lisha?"
"Ah, I was trying to get back home to Sumeru. I had to travel to Mondstadt for business and I didn't want to pay the price for a hotel," You explained as Xinyan shook her head.
"Liyue is packed with treasure hoarders, that's why hotels are so expensive. So you either have to pay the price of a hotel or get all your stuff stolen," She paused and went to pick up your sack. "Speakin' of which, I think you should look through this to make sure that none of your items have been stolen."
You thanked her for her help and rummaged through your bag, sighing thankfully when you saw that none of the hoarders got to your belongings. "Thank you for all of your help, Ms. Xinyan. I truly appreciate it," You said and she smiled in return."It's all good, I'm always willing to lend a helping hand!" She responded, her bright smile not fading. "Do you want anything to eat? I've got some food if ya need it."
"I'm good, I'm sure I've already overjoyed my stay," You answered, sweatdropping a bit.
"Oh nonsense! I'm always happy to have company around, it gets kinda lonely here," Xinyan reassured, making you feel more welcomed into her home.
"Well, thank you so much. I'll be glad to stay for a meal then," you responded, giving her a grateful smile.
Xinyan's expression turned into a delighted one once she heard what you said. She immediately gave you an excited nod before entering her kitchen, grabbing pots and pans and ingredients out of her cabinets. You stood up and exited the room that you were in, watching Xinyan run around her kitchen like an excited child.
"Would you like any help with that, Ms. Xinyan?" You asked, not wanting to stand there awkwardly while she does all the work.
"Nope, I got it! You're my guest, you shouldn't help me cook your meal," She explained with a smile.
After about 20 minutes, Xinyan told you that the dish was finished and ready to eat. Sitting down at the table, she put a dish of chicken that was seemingly on fire. Literally. Yes there were hot peppers on there but the chicken itself had a flame burning it.
"Thank you Xinyan, this looks amazing," you forced a smile before putting out the flame. Wearily raising your chopsticks to your mouth, you found that the dish was actually delectable. The spices tied in together in a unique yet distinct way, and you found that eating the dish was more pleasurable than distasteful.
Hours have gone by and you found yourself not wanting to leave Xinyan. You felt a sweet flower of friendship blooming between you two, and you didn't want to let the flower wilt. Alas, you had business to attend to at the Akademiya back home so you had to depart. You thanked Xinyan for her hospitality and promised that you would write to her while you were back home.
Leaving her house, you found yourself smiling due to the new memories and friend, yet still yearning to learn more about the fiery rock and roll artist.
