Later that night, she came to visit Diluc at the tavern again. The bartender and the noble greeted one another before Diluc slid her a premade cider.
"How has your day been so far, Diluc?" She asked him. It became a regular routine between the two, she'd ask how his day went then he'd answer with the same dry response.
"My day was fine. What about yours?"
"Oh, my day was absolutely wonderful! I got to know someone pretty well and it was so nice talking to him." Him
Somehow the word sent a pang in Diluc's heart, but he brushed it off. "Oh? Who was it? I know everyone in this town, I should know the person you're talking about." "The Cavalry Captain, Kaeya."

Another stronger pang was felt in Diluc's chest. He shook his head before saying, "I wouldn't trust that guy if I were you."
