Chapter 4: Sketch

"Miahhh!!!..." the kids were all over her the moment she got off the car. They were waiting for her to come since it's been a month they last saw her.

It was nearly 8PM and the kids were in their cute PJs while most of them already fell asleep in their rooms. Eun-ji, the community social worker, walks towards you and gives you a big hug.

"I told you to just come tomorrow. You never listen to me." She said ruffling your hair.

"But I want to start early and don't want to be late so here I am." You replied.

Jungkook was getting some of the stuff you bought along the way and stood behind you. He smiled at Eun-ji shyly.

"Oh, I forgot, this is Jungkook, my classmate... she's Eun-ji my good friend and she's in charge of this whole community." You introduced them.

"Hello, it's nice to meet you." Jungkook bowed.

"It's nice to meet you too. Thank you for taking time to give Miah a ride. We really appreciate it when people help her out since she's too stubborn to ask for it." Eun-ji says giving Miah a knowing look.

"Hey..." Miah says laughing at her friend's sincere statement.

"I'm sure you're both hungry, I prepared dinner and I won't take no for an answer okay?" He glares at both teens teasingly and proceeded to the dining area.

You did get burger and fries an hour ago but you didn't have the heart to turn down Eun-ji. Jungkook was kind enough to eat despite being full himself.

"Thanks for dinner Eun-ji ssi. That's one of the best kimchi rice I've ever had." Jungkook said sincerely.

"Then you should come back more often. Miah could  really use a hand once in a while." She said in reply.

"Why does it sound like you're tired of seeing just me?" Miah teased her looking hurt.

"You're the one who said that, not me honey. Seriously, Miah has been working her butt off just to help everyone here. She's our angel." Eun-ji placed a hand on Miah's and gave it a gentle squeeze.

"You can't wait to get rid of me." Miah giggled as she places another hand over Eun-ji's.

"Okay, so I guess you're both staying over right? I'll go prepare another guest room for you, Jungkook."

"Oh actually he's..." Miah was cut off by Jungkook.

"Thank you Eun-ji." He said giving you a quick glance.

"Are you sure you're staying? Don't you have plans for the weekend?" Miah asked feeling a bit guilty.

"Nope, I'm good. So, when are we going back?" Jungkook asked.

"You can already go home anytime but I'm staying until Sunday morning."

"Then let's leave together Sunday morning." Jungkook said smiling. "We might just need to make a quick stop if that's okay with you?"

"Sure! Your car, your call... Hey Kookie, thanks again." Miah said as she locks eyes with him.

Jungkook never heard Miah call him by his name and the new pet name she made up just now warmed his heart in an unfamiliar way.

"Okay kiddos, let's start with drawing anything you see in the room okay? It's your choice just make sure to use lots of color. I'll be going around to check okay?" Miah announced as she distributes the materials.
