Miah is the girl everyone wants. She's smart, athletic, popular, rich and over the top gorgeous without even trying. It seems like she has everything. WRONG.
She was adopted as a charity case that made her adoptive parents look good in society. She was trained to be the ideal daughter her adaptive parents never had. She went to the greatest schools across Europe as her parents became ambassadors in different countries during most of her childhood.
She's multi-lingual and very good in academics. She's also talented in arts and music that she leads the school to all championships, cheer dancing, choir, art competitions are just a few of her activities.
Every girl wants to be her and every guy wants to get their hands on her. That's how desirable she is. She's always surrounded by her so-called friends who flock around her like a hawk basking in her popularity.
She's perfect but deep inside she's empty. That's why she puts on a mask, a happy one so others won't see through her. If only those envious teens know how her life is all for a show, they'd pity her instead. PITY... the last thing she wants people to feel towards her. She has overflowing pity for herself that she doesn't need more.
You'd think she's nice? No, she is ruthless not because she wants to but because she has to. She can't let people in so she acts selfish, conceited and privileged. What's funny is, people seem to worship her for that.
Miah gets off her latest Mercedes Benz sports car and is instantly surrounded by plastics, her so-called group of friends. As President of the senior class she gets a premium parking space right smack in front of the main building.
"Hey Miah! Where were you last night?! We waited for you at the Varsity kick-off party but you never showed!" Ami, one of the plastics asked.
Miah continues to strut her way towards campus not caring what Ami said. "I wasn't in the mood." She said in reply, looking bored.
Ami snorted under her breath. Who does she think she is? Ami used to be the 'queen bee' of this elite high school but when Miah appeared out of nowhere as the only daughter of a power couple in society, Ami was stripped off the title in a heartbeat. Now she joins other plastics surrounding Miah to keep a reputation.
Miah stopped by her locker to shove some books in. She's too smart to use them anyways, she just carries them from home so her parents would think she's being a good student. She was startled as a young man, probably a freshman she doesn't even know approached her.
"Miah... uhm... these are for you..." He tries to hand her a box of gourmet chocolates wrapped in a pretty bow. "My parents got them from their trip in Switzerland and I thought you'd like them."
"Hmm... sorry I'm allergic." She darts her eyes on the poor boy and didn't even care to look at the box. She lied, she loves chocolates but she can't accept gifts. Rule #11 on Miah's book is never to accept gifts, no matter how tempting.
"Hey weirdo, if you really like Miah then do your research. She hates getting gifts." One of the plastics trailing Miah snapped at the boy after snatching the box from him. That's what they're there for anyway, to pickup everything Miah rejects point blank.
Miah enters the classroom and everyone greets her, expecting at least a glance from her were all they wanted. Why? Because getting Miah's attention is all they crave for. She has a certain aura that pulls you in.
"Hey Miah, you look great as always!" One girl chimes in.
"Nice bag Miah!" Another one attempted to get her attention but to no avail.
Miah just walks past them and takes her usual seat by the window at the far end of the classroom. It's a long table with 2 chairs but no one ever dares to sit next to her. Aside from the obvious fact that no one else is worthy to sit beside her, the chair next to her is always occupied by her precious luxury bag.
Miah looks out of the window and eyes a vintage porsche parked near her car. Wow! That's like one of her favorite cars on the planet. She wonders who among these filthy rich students own it.
The bell rings to mark the first period of class and their teacher comes in with a tall young man trailing behind. "Good morning class! Before we proceed with learning let me introduce your new classmate here." Mr. Kim said gesturing to the handsome lad beside him.
"Hello, I'm Jeon Jungkook." He said with a mysterious gaze. Those doe eyes not giving away if he's the shy type or bad ass kind of boy.
He walks right to the only free seat he finds, right beside Miah. She was startled by this boy's guts of wanting to sit beside her. Oh well, he's new so he doesn't know the rules. Miah stares him down.
"Is this your bag?" He asked politely. Miah only stares at him running her gaze from Jungkook to Sahoyo, one of the plastics siting just in-front of them.
"Get your own vacant seat, that one's off limits!" She snapped at Jungkook. "Sit right there!" Sahoyo points to another vacant seat on the far opposite side of Miah.
"No, I want to sit here!" He stubbornly announced not leaving his gaze on Miah. She hadn't blinked and it amazed Jungkook.
He leans forward on the table to whisper. "Don't you have a tongue?"
Of course she does but rule #1 comes flashing on her head, NEVER TRUST anyone.
"That spot is already taken... just go sit somewhere else." Sahoyo replies then again for Miah.
Jungkook didn't budge and continued his staring game with Miah until Mr. Kim took notice and sent Jungkook to sit up front. All eyes were on him as he glared at Miah before walking away.
Jungkook would glance at Miah pretending to get something from his knapsack. She was quiet, looked bored and sometimes sleepy. He found her interesting. Aside from the fact that she has the face of an angel, Jungkook is so intrigued with her bad ass attitude.
From where Jungkook came from, he was the Miah of their class minus the attitude. Every guy wants to be him and every girl wants a taste of him. He's the hot captain of their baseball team who heads their every victory. He's a straight A student and is a brilliant artist who can sketch, draw and paint like a pro.
He is basically her, the only difference is he's nice to everyone. Greets those who greet him and helps people when they're in need. Unlike Miah who tramples on anyone and seems to rip others' hearts into pieces. He was flustered as Miah caught him staring at her.
*Miah's 💭*
This guy has TROUBLE written all over him. I can't be around him or else everything I've worked hard for all this time will just be put to waste.Lunch break, not my most favorite time in school. I hate the stares and the compliments from people who don't even know the real me. But I had to endure them or else I'll starve the entire day. Oh well.
