Chapter 27: My Life

Tears were flooding her cheeks as she stood behind his door. She rushed in and passed Jungkook, leaving him stunned by the entryway.

"Hey, Miah I was about to visit you at home but mom said you went out with Eun-ji..." He said as he followed  her to the living room.

Jungkook was interrupted with a slap on the face from Miah. He was taken by surprise seeing tears flooding her cheeks.

"How dare you Jeon Jungkook?! How dare you keep something so important from me?!"

He reached out to hug her but she pushed him away. He attempted again and again until Miah gave in. He buried her face in his chest while Miah kept on striking him with her fist.

"I hate you... I hate you..." Her muffled voice was all he could hear as she soaked his shirt with tears.

"I'm sorry Angel, I didn't want to scare you or pressure you into anything. Please forgive me." Jungkook says kissing Miah's head.

Once Miah calmed down, Jungkook loosened his hug and lifts her head by placing a finger under her chin. "I love you, Angel... I was so afraid to lose you... Having you back was all I wanted... when you didn't recognize me, my heart was crushed but it was better than not having you back at all."

Miah was speechless, how could she even forget those doe eyes? She loves him more than her own life. Now she's sure, it doesn't matter if she can't remember everything about their recent past, what matters now is she loves him and always will.

"Now can I kiss you?... I really miss those lips and it's been so long since..." Jungkook was interrupted by Miah's soft lips. He couldn't move, he stayed frozen not believing he's kissing her after all this time.

"Kookie... shut up and kiss me." Miah says looking at her fiancé.

That nickname clicked a button in Jungkook's heart. Her angel is back for real.

Jungkook and Miah were on the balcony watching the velvety sky. Miah was wrapped around his arms while she leans her back against Jungkook's chest. Cheeks side by side as they exchange promises.

"I won't ever leave your side. You can count on me to save you from any harm." Jungkook whispers.

"I will always love you even if my memory gets wiped off, my heart will always remember you." Miah replies sincerely.

You were interrupted by a call from Jungkook's dad. He suddenly gets up and answers the call as he walked away.

📱MR. SMITH: "Son, the University emailed me about your application. They're following up on the requirements, haven't you completed that already?"

📱JUNGKOOK: "Yeah dad, I'm just making sure everything is complete before I mail them."

📱MR. SMITH: "Okay son, for a moment there I thought you're ditching college."

📱JUNGKOOK: "Don't worry dad, I have everything under control."

Jungkook stares at all his papers. He lied, they were complete and all he had to do was send the University a copy. He didn't like lying to his dad but he can't tell him his plans.
