Y/N Riddle and The Marauders

Chapter 16

"Professor, quick it's Y/N," Mary and Lily had gone straight to Professor McGonagall once they had left the dormitory.
"What do you mean it's Y/N?" McGonagall asked the two girls coming over to them.
"She found out something about her family . Mainly about her mother."Lily said to her as the three of them walked out of the office.

When the three of them had reached the dormitory they saw Y/N crying on Sirius' chest and Sirius was comforting her and stroking her hair back. McGonagall was glad to see Sirius' soft side. She let them be for a few minutes then decided to see what Y/N had found out.
"Mr Black I think you should give me Miss Y/N  a moment please," McGonagall told Sirius. Sirius looked at McGonagall and then back at Y/N.
"I'm still here okay. I'm not going anywhere okay. I'm only in the common room," He whispered in her ear before getting up. He gave her one last look before leaving the room. When he went out McGonagall gave him a reassuring smile.

"Y/N what did you find out? Find out about your mother?" McGonagall asked her closing the door.
"You knew didn't you about what he did. How he killed my mother," Y/N asked her.
"We thought he would have told you when you were older," She replied.
"No he wouldn't have Professor. If he told me what he did he knew I would never have forgiven him," Y/N looked up at McGonagall as she told her that.
"I understand where your coming fro-"
"Don't finish that sentence Professor because I am very sure your mother wasn't murdered by your older brother so therefore you have no clue how I'm feeling," Y/N told Professor McGonagall.
"Your right I don't know what your feeling but I can try to?"
"Professor you do not want to do that I promise that. However, I do have a letter that I need to write to Tom," Y/N said to her.
"Of course I'll let you write to your brother. But please do remember that we here can protect you if you need that," McGonagall said to Y/N before walking out the door.

"Hey Padfoot what's up," James asked with Peter and Remus in the common room.
"Y/N. We uh we um found out some stuff. About her mother and the dark lord," Sirius told them not looking at them directly.
"Tell us then. We ought to know what happened," Peter said sitting up. Sirius had told them all about Merope and the love potion, Y/N's father leaving after she was born and was halfway through telling them what Tom did and Y/N's reaction when McGonagall had walked out the Gryffindor door. Y/N had came a few minutes after with an inkpot, a quill, and a piece of parchment paper. She had walked past them without saying a word and sat down at the desk behind the boys.

"Hey Y/N, you okay?" James came up to her after realizing she completely ignored the four boys.
"Hi James. I'm fine why wouldn't I be," Y/N told him as she began to write the letter.
"It's just- You know what never mind. Have fun writing that letter," he smiled with his hand on her shoulder
"Yeah should be fun right,"  she said forcing a smile turning back at him. James had chuckled and walked back to the marauders.

Soon after they had all left and Y/N was alone so she decided to read her letter to Tom.
"Dear Brother, I am guessing on your letter Lucius hadn't told you the full story about what had happened that day. However, that isn't the reason I am writing to you. I know what happened when I was a baby. About our mother and her death. I know the truth how you killed her, Tom. I need to see you. I need to know your side of the story please Thomas. I just want to see my brother and I can't wait for Christmas break. You ought to know that I am staying with the Gryffindors for a while and no I haven't forgotten our family rules. I just want to speak as siblings without all the pure-blood and muggle-born lark. Please visit me Tom.
Your sister Y/N."

As Y/N finished going through the letter she heard someone walk in.
"Hello?" Y/N had pulled out her wand.
"Y/N? Hey it's just me," It was Sirius.
"Don't do that you scared me," Y/N told him as she put her wand back.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to do that," Sirius had came closer to her.
"Yeah I know that Sirius," Y/N was now putting her letter in an envelope.
"Hey are you sure your okay?" Sirius was face-to-face with Y/N.
"Yes I'm fine I told James that before," Y/N wasn't looking him.
"Yeah you told James not me. Y/N I meant what I said before. How you can be saved you don't need to be like the dark lord."
"Yeah well you clearly have never met my brother than have you. With him being the dark lord I kinda have to it's like say a duty of mine," She told him and was now facing him.
Sirius had chuckled and had now taken her hand.
"Come with me I want to take you somewhere.
"What? Do you mean take me somewhere?" Y/N asked as Sirius led her out of the common room and into the school building.

"Okay Sirius where are you taking me?" Y/N asked as he took her outside near the forbidden forest.
"Just wait okay. We're nearly there," He replied laughing. Sirius had stopped near the Black lake. "SUPRISE!"
Y/N laughed, "I love it, Sirius. But why bring me here?"
"Well, you can tell me anything and I won't tell anyone else," He told making her sit down.
"So it's like your safe place?"
"OUR, safe place Y/N remember that," He said to her picking up a flower.
"I promise I'll remember that," Y/N said to him smiling. Sirius put the flower in her hair. Sirius and Y/N's face to face when Sirius had smiled and leaned in. His hand on the side of her face, he gently pressed his lips against hers. Sirius pulled away after a few minutes and the pair of them just smiled at eachother.
"I've been meaning to do that from the day I met you on the train," Sirius said trying to explain himself.
"Hey, hey, hey. It's fine honestly," Y/N had put her hands on his face trying to calm him down.
"The truth is I like you. A lot," He said to her scared at what her reaction would be. Y/N had smiled at him when they saw Lucius walk past.
"C'mon let's go before he sees us," Y/N said to him grabbing his arm and running past.
