Y/N Riddle and The Marauders

Chapter 27

The girls got changed into their pyjamas and set up on Y/N's bed: she had joined Mary's bed to hers and now they had the food from dinner on a tray hovering on the bed. They got out a game of wizarding chess, Molly chose it, and began two matches. Y/N vs Lily and Molly vs Mary. The winners of each versus each other, they were on their final round when they heard a loud clasp of thunder making them all jump. Once they realised what happened they ran to the common room laughing.

"What happened to you lot?" Fabian asked as they ran into the cosy, warm room.
"We.... we got scared of the thunder," Molly told her older brother through the giggles.
Fabian looked at them before speaking.
"What the hell guys. You lot are actual idiots." He told them all trying not to laugh at their stupidity.
"WE KNOW THAT FABIAN!" Y/N shouted after him as he walked towards the portrait hole. He looked back, shook his head and laughed as he walked out.

As the girls sat down on the sofas in the common room they decided to tell ghost stories later on. For now they were all braiding and styling each other's hair. Molly had a wavy, ponytail, Mary had a side plait, Lily had crimped hair and Y/N had a high ponytail. They all looked at eachother and decided it was time to go back into their room. The common room was mainly empty except for the few seventh years finishing of essays and sixth years doing homework when the girls left.

When they went back to the dorm they turned off all the lights and lit candles around the room.
"Incendio!" Y/N commanded to the last candle and it began to burn.
"I think it's time for ghost stories what about you lot?" Mary asked them as she settled herself onto Y/N's bed.
"Okay then who's going first?" Lily asked as she pulled a blanket over her.
"I am willing going to scare the living hell out of you guys," Y/N volunteered. The girls looked at her then got under their blankets waiting for the 'scariest story'. Y/N cleared her voice and began to speak.
"Just so your know this took place a LONG time ago. So imagine a family of 4 living in London and it was weather like this. Wait scrap that it was worse. Thunder and lightning both with heavy arse rain falling down. The family were camping out in the woods or sommat like that when they heard thunder," at that moment thunder hit the castle again making the girls hold the blankets more tightly. Y/N gave the rain a disgusted look before carrying on her story.
"Where was I? Oh! They heard thunder making them all jump in the car. But then all of a sudden all the lights went off. Pitch black it was."
"Wait Y/N I thought they were camping? Why would they be in a car?" Molly asked.
"Molly shush!" Lily and Mary hushed.
"Their father got out the car and saw two children figures in front of the car, 'Hello? Where are your parents?' He asked the two figures. BANG!" Thunder struck this time but with lightning, " He was dead in the middle of the road. Screams they heard of his wife. Haunting screams." Y/N stopped there staring into space. When she reentered the real world she saw the girls under the covers. She bursted out laughing.
"Your faces!" Y/N laughed at them.
"Y/N! NOT FUNNY!" Lily shouted at her. Y/N went and turned the lights on still laughing. The girls took turns telling stories but none of them were a match for the first one.

A few hours after they decided to call it a night. They moved all the snacks and drinks off of the bed and all put blankets over themselves. Lily and Molly fell asleep first with Mary doing the same after them, Y/N looked at them all and heard the thunder once more. She sat up in bed and heard a two children screams in her head she got out of bed and put her Slytherin robe over herself and slipped her feet into some slippers. The Slytherin girl looked back at the three sleeping girls before slipping out of the dorm.
It must've been around 2 am when she left the room. She went to the common room and sat in front of the fire. Wow Y/N you just had to tell that story of all the others you had. She thought to herself. Y/N thought sitting in front of the fire would of made her feel better or at least tired. It didn't. She got up and headed towards the staircase leading upstairs.

Y/N went up and went to the boys dormitory. She gently pushed the door open and saw Sirius sitting up awake in bed reading a book. He looked up and saw her standing in the doorway. Sirius put his book down and told her to come in. All the other marauders from the looks of it were asleep.
"Y/N what's wrong?" Sirius asked her as she came into the room.
"I can't sleep. The thunder and everything," she told half of the truth just not the screams in her head. Sirius moved over in his bed, moved his blanket slightly and told Y/N to sit down. She came and sat next to him when Sirius asked her again what was wrong.
"Just the thunder is to loud and....," She hesitated.
"Y/N? And...?"
"I keep hearing these screams in my head it's nothing though. I told the girls a ghost story probably just from that."
Sirius pulled her closer and the put blanket on her. Y/N looked at him and lay down next to him. Black looked at her and kissed her head before doing the same as her. He lay down and got his wand to close all four curtains that were around the bed. He lay down properly and put one arm around Y/N and the other gently moving her hair.
"Thank you," Y/N whispered sleepily. Sirius smiled and kissed her cheek and put more blanket over her before going to sleep himself.
