Y/N Riddle and The Marauders

Chapter 15

When Y/N woke up she looked up and saw Sirius sleeping. She had woken up by the Gryffindor quidditch team going to practice. Y/N looked outside and saw that it was still dark out.
"Mornin Y/N had a nice sleep," James asked her trying not to laugh.
"Oh push off James and anyways what are you doing up this early?" Y/N asked him whilst getting up.

"Quidditch practice Y/N," He told her.
"What position do you play?"She asked
"Seeker what about you?"He told her confused
"Seeker as well." She said smirking
"POTTER C'MON!" One of the Gryffindors called out.
"Coming! I'll see you guys later then yeah?" James asked running out.
"Yeah sure totally," Y/N told him walking over to the stairs. Whilst talking to James Y/N had remembered she had the book on The Noble House Of Black so she went to get it from her new dorm.

Y/N came back with the book and sat down on the floor surrounded by books.
"Incendio," She whispered careful not to wake up Sirius. The fire had started and soon the room began to warm up. Y/N had gone down to get some breakfast for herself and for Sirius when he woke up. She had gone down and saw Andromeda eating breakfast on her own.
"Y/N hey," Andromeda called as Y/N was putting some toast on a tray.
"Hi Drom," Y/N said walking towards her.
"I heard about you moving to Gryffindor for a few nights."
"Yeah, it's fine actually. Just thought a new place would help me concentrate a bit more."
"Yeah, I heard Slughorn tell Cissa."
"I- I should get back," Y/N told Andromeda walking out with the tray.

"Morning," Sirius had woken up and saw Y/N eating a piece of toast going through a familiar book.
"Morning Sirius," Y/N said looking back, " Breakfast is on the table."
"Thanks what book is that?"
"This oh I found it in the Slytherin common room." She told him. Sirius sat up properly.
"You went back there? Y/N it's dangerous especially after yesterday," He told her coming off the sofa.
"I know I had to though and anyways nobody else was up just Andromeda. She wouldn't hurt me."
"Yeah, she wouldn't hurt anyone your right." Sirius had gone and got his breakfast sitting down next to Y/N.

Around half an hour later Sirius saw something in the book he was reading.
"Y/N look at this," Y/N was reading the book when Sirius had called her. She looked back at the table he was at and got up, putting the book on the Black family down.
"What is it?" She asked coming over to him.
"Listen to this. The Riddle family. The mother of son Thomas Riddle jr and daughter Y/N Riddle is Merope Gaunt who was cast away from her family after marrying a muggle Thomas Riddle. Gaunt was said to have died a few days after giving birth to her daughter Y/N Riddle allegedly due to heartbreak when Riddle had left taking every drop of muggle money with him," Sirius read out to her.
"Oh, my Godric. Does it say why he left? Carry on reading it," Y/N told him sitting down and listening to him.
"Merope was accused of giving Tom a love potion every day of their marriage when she stopped due to having a child... Y/N we can stop if you want?" Sirius asked her.
"No No please I need to know more."
"Gaunt had ended up poor and miserable, she never willingly never used magic to save her life. She had taken her son and daughter to an orphanage said their names and had died soon after," He looked at the next bit and remained silent. "Y/N it says she was murdered by Tom. Your brother," He closed the book and looked at Y/N. She had stayed quiet the entire time but had a tear falling down her cheek.
"He.. He can't. He was 13 he couldn't have," She had began to cry, "All I knew is that she died after I was born and my father couldn't cope and died a few months after. He lied to me," Y/N's eyes were still fixed on the book as if she was in a trance with tears falling down, " My own brother lied to me and I believed him."
"Hey, I'm sure he was going to tell you," Sirius had gotten his sleave and wiped the tear-off of her face. Y/N had gotten up and began to go towards her new dorm.
"Y/N! Y/N wait," Sirius had run after her and was now calling after her.

She walked into her room and went straight to her table drawer
"Y/N what's wrong?" Lily asked her turning around.
"Y/N LISTEN! What are going to do?" Sirius was in the doorway scared as for what might happen.
"Calm down! I'm not going to kill anyone all right," Y/N told both of them. She had taken out a piece of paper, a quill, and a pot of ink. "I think it's about time I write to my brother don't you?" She had gone past them again and was crying.
"Y/N look I'm sorry you didn't know," Sirius grabbed her arm as she was about to leave.
"He KILLED HER!" Y/N shouted at him. "He killed our mother. He killed her." Y/N fell to her knees and started crying into her hands. "It was him who killed her. Him. The person I looked up to my brother." Sirius came down to her level and cradled her.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," he whispered into her hair.
"He killed her Sirius. The woman who bought him into the world, the one who gave him life and he killed her," she whispered into his ear. Lily had come and picked up the broken inkpot.
"I'm sorry Y/N," Lily told her wiping her face and going back to throw away the pot. Mary had walked in and saw Y/N crying.
"I'm going to kill him, Sirius. He deserves to die for what he did. Our own mother he killed. He deserves nothing," she cried.
"I know, I know," Sirius said to her moving her hair back.
"Oh my Y/N," Mary said shocked at what she had found out. "I'm so sorry." Lily had taken Mary out of the room. Y/N had started crying again.
"Sirius," Y/N called.
"Yeah what is it?" Sirius asked her still moving her hair back.
"Did it say... Did it say how he did it? How he killed her?" She asked him
"No Y/N I'm sorry."

"Don't leave me please," she said to him.
"What makes you think I'm going to leave you? I wouldn't dream of leaving you alone right now. Y/N why'd you ask?" Sirius asked her.
"When people find out my past they leave. Nobody ever stays in my life for long. It's as if we're cursed. I mean that monster of a brother has never loved anyone in his life and I was taught to only ever trust Slytherin's," She told him tears still falling.
"Well, I think you'll find that I'm different from most people in my family," he said to her.
"The only person who ever stuck by other than my b-brother is Regulus I don't know why or what he sees in me," She said to Sirius.
"Maybe just maybe he sees a girl who is hurt and broken. A girl who is worth saving," Sirius said to Y/N.
