School was finally over. It felt like a big weight was lifted off my chest. Being around a lot of people in a new place gave me an immense amount of anxiety. But it was over now.

At least until 8 o'clock. I was dreading this party. Part of me is glad I met new friends, but the other part of me is upset with myself. If I didn't meet Lydia, I would've had a quiet night at home with my parents.

But of course, Lydia had to pick me, out of all people, to talk to.

After I'd gathered my things, I immediately went to meet the strawberry blonde. She seemed like an "on the dot" kind of person. Which was fine, it just made me walk faster. And walking in heeled boots? Not fun. I think I've rolled my ankle at least 5 times today.

As soon as I opened the doors, I saw a flash of fiery red hair hair. "Hello?! You're late!"

I looked at the clock on the side of the school wall. "It's 3:01. I'm a minute late."

"Haven't you heard the term 'on time is late and early is on time'? We'll need to fix that."

"We..?"

"Don't worry, you'll be in ship shape soon!" She gave my nose a tap and began walking to her car. I followed.

"So this party," I started. "Is it going to be a big one?"

"Not as big as the annual glow party Danny holds, but pretty big. Some childhood friend of Stiles is having it. She always does a 'back to school party'. She says it brings up school spirit, but I just see it as a chance to get drunk!" Lydia gave a small laugh at the end of her words, hopping in the drivers seat.

"We don't have to dress fancy, though. Right?"

"Oh, god no. Casual is the way to dress. But not as casual as what you're wearing right now. It'll need to be a little sexier than that." She winks at me, and my heart drops.

"Sexy? Lydia, my parents barely let me wear a skirt to school without leggings underneath."

"Oh, daddy's girl, huh? Well, we'll change that too."
