There were no directions to this place.

I'm pretty sure I was lost.

I felt cold, empty and drained. My body wouldn't stop shaking, and my gut was telling me tonight was not going to end well. But I'm always worrying, so it's probably nothing. I pushed it aside.

Scott was in the passenger seat next to me, and Isaac was in the back. The girls decided to drive themselves. My girl decided she would meet us at midnight.

My girl.

When I saw her today...it was like nothing else mattered. The amount of times I wanted to reach out and hold her but I couldn't killed me. I missed her so much. She always made me feel like myself. Being separated from her...even now..it sucked.

There was an awkward tension that filled the air. Isaac was the first to speak. "Alright since nobody's gonna say it, I am. You look like you're dying. You're pale, thin and you look like you're getting worse."

"Gee, thanks."

He ignored me. "And we're all sitting here thinking it. When we find the other you, is he gonna look like he's getting better?"

"What happens if he gets hurt?"

"You mean like if he dies then do I die?" I scoff. "I don't care. Just so long as no one else does because of me." I shake my head. "I remember everything I did, Scott. I remember pushing that sword into you, I remember twisting it."

"That wasn't you."

"Yeah but I remember it. You guys gotta promise me-you can let anyone else get hurt cause of me."

"No one's getting hurt. Not tonight. I promise. And it won't be because of you."

I wish I could believe him. Really, I do. But this feeling in my stomach wasn't going away. So I just settled for a head nod instead.

"Take a left up here." Isaac pointed to the dirt road.

I turned, slowly crawling up the gravel. I could see a gate at the top of the hill, and two people standing at it. Allison and Kira, hopefully.
