a story in which scott was never the love allison was looking for.
stiles was.
Not because it was a party. I'd been to parties before. But this time I was particularly nervous because Allison was going to be there.
And knowing Lydia, she probably gave Allison an outfit that would make the male population go wild. As well as the female population.
I'd parked the jeep about a block away, only cause the street was packed with cars. Scott and I approached the house together, both sweaty palmed and too anxious to catch our breath.
Scott was a social butterfly until it came to parties. Our last experience wasn't a good one. It was Lydia's birthday party, and she drugged everyone with her punch. Made us see things none of us wanted to see.
"Should we wait for the girls?" Scott spoke up, a slight quiver in his voice from the cold.
"Probably. You know how Lydia is if we go in without her." I rubbed my hands up and down my arms to warm up.
"Okay dude, serious talk for a minute. I know Allison is beautiful. But we can't have distractions before our big game. You gotta keep your head out of the gutter. You get me?"
I was a bit hurt by his insinuation of Allison as a 'distraction'. She was anything but. However, I understood where he was coming from. So I nodded and held my hand up. "I got you." Scott matched his hand up with mine and we did our small handshake.
Footsteps were heard from behind us. I saw Scott's eyebrows shoot up, and he bent down to my ear. "Forget our entire conversation."
I stilled and my heart beat rose. Slowly, I turned around to face the two girls.
There stood Lydia and a literal goddess.
Allison wore tight black jeans, which showed off her curves quite well. Her flowy, black tank top matched her pants all the same, and her hair was curled in a half up-half down style.
It was sexy.
"Hey boys!" Lydia gave her hundred watt smile.
"Hey Lydia, Allison." Scott waved politely.
"Hey-hi-uh-" my mouth ran dry.
Allison smiled and waved. "Hi Scott, hi Stiles."
I gave an awkward half smile and nodded at her. "What's-whats up?" I almost choked on my spit.
