It's been three weeks since I've moved here. One week since the motel.

I see Stiles and Lydia and Scott and Isaac always talking in the hallways. Boyd was usually with them.

Sometimes they don't show up to school. Sometimes they only stay for half the day. Stiles gives me small waves everyday.

I don't return them.

Lydia and Isaac smile and Scott and Boyd glance over occasionally but they never make a move to talk to me. Maybe it's better that way.

There was one day where they came to school, looking devastated and wrecked. I almost asked them if they were okay.

Almost.

But this time when they looked over at me from across the hall, there was a person missing.

Boyd.

News had gotten around that he had transferred schools. But the dark circles under Scott's eyes told me differently.

I wanted so badly to comfort them all, but I couldn't. Because I knew they'd lie to me again.

But I didn't just wallow that entire week. I did my research. I snooped around the house. I visited my mother's grave. I just wanted answers.

At first, I was looking for anything about assassins in Beacon Hills. I came up short because obviously, nothing that interesting ever happens here.

So then I started to look up Beacon Hill murders. And when I say I was shocked, I mean it.

There were rows and rows of articles, some dating back to the 1900's, of murders.

I clicked the first link.

'Gas leak' Leads To Devastating Fire.

At around 7:15 PM, the beloved Hale House burned to the ground. Police and reporters are claiming it to be a gas leak, but there has been suspicion of attempted Arson.

The fire claimed eight victims lives, yet one remained to survive. Peter Hale, the brother of Laura Hale, the house owner, was the only one to live. He sustained serious burn wounds across his body, and up half his face.
