a story in which scott was never the love allison was looking for.
stiles was.
My expression was a mix of disbelief and shock. "What're you doing here?"
Allison played with the sleeves on her sweater. Her face was tilted downwards towards her boots, and her lip was tucked in between her teeth. "I just uh-I wanted to come watch the..game."
I raised a brow. "Oh? So how come you didn't get on the bus with Lydia? And why did you follow the bus to the rest stop? Why didn't you just keep going?"
"Well the bus looked a bit crowded, my car ran out of gas and I knew I could probably sneak back on with you guys." She cleared her throat, changing the subject. "I saw Scott go into the bathroom. Is he okay?"
"Scott?" I paused for a minute. "Oh, yeah, he's fine! He just..got a bit car sick, is all."
"Oh...he just looked like he was hurt."
"Uh-no! No, he's not hurt. He just looks like he's in pain because he, uh, he had to throw up. Yeah. He ate some really bad food last night, so it's unfortunately coming out of both ends."
Allison winced, grabbing her stomach as if the thought pained her. "That's...that's disgusting. I hope he's okay."
I waved it off. "Oh yeah, Scott will be fine. He's the toughest person I know." I said, proudly.
"Great, well-"
"Alright boys, get your ass back on the bus!" Coach yelled. My eyes widened. Shit, I was supposed to distract him. "And Jared, you're sitting by the door. If you throw up again, I'm throwing you out of the bus."
"Just give me a second. Don't move." I held up my finger to Allison and sprinted to the bathrooms.
Lydia was knelt down in front of Scott, her hands cupping his face. Scott was breathing hard, like he just woke up from a nightmare. Lydia continuously repeated 'just keep looking at me, Scott'. And he did. He kept his gaze focused on her.
