Derek's dead.

There's no bringing him back.

Scott, Derek, Isaac and Boyd were fighting off the alpha pack. But Derek got to close to the edge. He and a member of the alpha pack tumbled off the edge and smacked the mall floor below.

Scott was crushed inside, and I could tell he felt it clawing inside him. He looked like shit, especially since he was wounded.

Deaton said his wound would take longer to heal since it was from an alpha, but I could only hope he was right.

We were currently on a bus to Devenford. Coach was in an even bigger mood than usual, so the bus was fairly quite besides the rumble of the engine. Lydia, who was informed of the fight, had somehow managed to trick coach into letting her onto the bus.

She said something along the lines of "Scott's sick and I'm the only one who knows how to give him his medicine. You don't want your star player on the bench, do you?"

Either way, Coach didn't have time to deal with her, so she sat with us. We sat in the back of the bus where we would have more advantage to talk without anyone hearing us.

Isaac and Boyd sat three rows in front of us and the twins, who were at the fight last night, were sitting a row back from Isaac.

Scott grunted beside me. "I cant believe he's dead." He turned to look at me. "Derek's actually dead."

"Yeah, and we have those two-" I pointed at Ethan and Aiden "-to thank for that. We should've seen it coming."

Lydia scoffs. "Don't blame them. Did they push Derek off the ledge?"

I narrowed my eyes at her. "Does it matter? They were still there. Guilt by association."

"I'm just saying, besides clawing Scott's chest, what did they do?"

"Are you even hearing yourself right now?!" I flailed my hands. "They clawed Scott's chest!"

"And Scott will heal. Problem solved." She goes back to looking through her phone.

I ground my teeth in an urge not to snap at her.
