"Niall, you have been called to the Principal's office," the lecturer said at the front of the hall, reading of the slip of paper that she had found on her desk.

Niall perked up at his name, looking up at his teacher and away from Liam, his Mate's, puppy-dog brown eyes. "Excuse me?"

"You have to go to the Principal's office," the teacher repeated.

Niall's eyebrows creased, but before he could say anything, the kind teacher spoke up.

"Sorry, Niall, but I don't know why," she smiled.

Niall looked at Liam, who also had a confused look on his face, because if his Mate was in trouble, he should have been told before anyone because he was the Alpha in the relationship. He squeezed Niall's thigh, trying to comfort him.

Niall got up and weaved through all the tables to get out the door. As he walked the couple of minutes it took to get to the offices, he had so many questions in his head. He knew for a fact that he had been really good this term, not doing anything excessively wrong and only a couple of meetings with the Principal. After finding out Liam was his Mate, Liam had been positively influencing him. Maybe he had done something bad and hadn't even realized? Had he gone so far that he was being suspended, or, even worse, expelled? It was supposed to be a good thing to be confident, especially as he was an Omega, who were usually shy and timid. They should be bloody pleased he had a group of friends!

"You here to see the Principal, Niall?" the secretary asked.

Niall liked the gray-haired, blue-eyed University secretary, because every time he had been outside the Principal's office for another mistake, she had always given him a cup of tea and a biscuit, maybe two if it was an after-school meeting.

"Yeah, Nora. Do you know anything about it?"

"I'm not allowed to say, Mr. Horan."

Niall scoffed. "Is it bad?"

"No, not this time," she laughed.

Niall sighed with relief. "Oh, thank God." He slightly laughed with how much relief he felt running through his veins.

"Language, Mr. Horan," Nora scolded lightly. "You can go in and see the Principal now."

Niall nodded and smiled at Nora. He walked behind the secretary counter, towards the Principal's office. He knocked politely and walked in when a loud "Come in" was called out, closing the door softly behind him.

Then, he stood with his back to the door warily.

So, what did you think? Hopefully this didn't disappoint anyone. So, to update, what about 15 reads and a vote? Remember to vote and comment...and tell your friends?
