When Niall arrived home from school later that day, he immediately went up to Louis' room, preparing himself to, again, beg his Omega friend to come out and get something to eat, at least for the triplets sakes.
When he was on the third floor, his pace quickened, hands flying to his belly in protective mode.
There were whimpers coming from Louis' room.
"Louis!" he cried out, running into the door in his rush to get to his fellow Omega, forgetting that you had to twist the door knob.
What he saw in the room when he finally got the door open nearly made him burst out in tears, but he was going to be strong.
Louis was curled up as tight as he could be, staring off into space with tear tracks dried on his face, whimpering, rocking back and forth.
"Oh God," Niall whispered, falling to his knees beside Louis. He put his hand on Louis' shoulder, but the other Omega flinched away.
"Louis," Niall whispered, trying to soothe the boy. "What's wrong, please tell me?"
Louis broke down again, falling into Niall's arms and crying his little eyes out.
Niall couldn't take this anymore. "Liam!" he screamed, rocking the smaller back and forth. Yeah, Louis had been sad lately, but this was a new all time low.
He could hear the pounding feet coming up the stairs as soon as he screamed, an Omega desperate for his babies' daddy.
Liam barrelled into the room, panting at the door. His eyes locked on Louis.
"You get that sorry excuse for an Alpha home right now, or I swear to God I am leaving you Liam Payne!" Niall growled, cradling Louis to his chest, a few tears gathering in his own eyes.
Liam could only nod and run off.
"It's okay, my little friend. Everything's okay," Niall whispered.
Louis shook his head and whimpered again, rocking back and forth in Niall's tight arms - nothing was okay.
