A month and a half had passed since I moved in and everything was going really well. The guys were really busy with work but never let me feel forgotten or neglected. Jin was warmed up to me a but not much progress has been made. He wasn't being an active ass towards me anymore. No interaction beyond simple pleasantries which was fine by me. I still had six men that wanted me.
Since I didn't know anything about them as a group beyond what Yeeun showed me I decided to do my research and couldn't believe just how famous BTS really was. It was a true mystery as to how I hadn't stumbled across their music before. I was floored by the sheer talent, the artistry and the hard work they put into everything; they are amazing. One night I stayed up until 5am watching their music videos and interviews, I was intrigued to say the least. They were truly amazing and that night helped me see all of them in a new light.
Due to their incredibly packed schedule none of them had a chance to make good on their promise to to take me dates yet but still squeezed in time with me when they could. One particular afternoon one of the guys came home earlier than I expected, startling me when he knocked on my bedroom door.
"Who is it?"
"Jungkook" he replied loudly
"Come in" he entered to find me sitting at my desk working on my final editing task.
"Hey beautiful, are you done with work yet?"
"Almost, what's up? You're home kind of early" I said looking at my watch
"Yeah rare occasion where we didn't have much on on schedule for the day so I decided to take you on our date" he smiled
"Okay" I smiled back. I saved my work and shut down my laptop. "What are we doing and where are we going?"
"Since it's cold out I want to take you ice skating, would you be interested in going?"
"Sounds like fun but I've never ice skated before"
"Me either" he laughed leaning on my desk "I thought we could try it together"
"You're gonna laugh when I fall"
"Probably and you're going to laugh when I fall too"
I snorted "Doubt it, you're great at everything Mr. golden maknae" his smile dropped from his pink lips
"I'm not good at everything, I hate when people say that I am" he sighed
"Kook, I'm sorry I was just teasing" I grabbed his hand to hold it "It's not bad to be good at many things, you have a natural talent for catching onto things quickly and making it look easy that's all that means"
"Being called that feels like I am constantly under pressure to be great all the time and I can't. There are plenty of things I'm not good at and I'm okay with it but everyone else expects the impossible from me. It's frustrating" he explained.
"I don't think anyone actually expects more from you than what you can give. You are an exceptional talent and people see your potential. They know you won't be great at everything because you aren't perfect but you are pretty damn close" he chuckled, weaving our fingers together "I think you assume everyone thinks that way so you add the weight of what you think everyone wants from you, pressuring yourself then cracking under it when you don't succeed."
"Ugh you sound like Hoseok" he rolled his eyes
"Which means you should probably consider what he's been saying and take the advice."
"I have tried to work according to my natural ability but then it feels like I'm holding myself back or like I'm not doing my best which also makes me feel as if I'm failing myself and my team."
