"You want us to come to Tamashii no Kawa?" Taehyung asked quietly, staring at the large screen that now showed my grandmother's unnaturally young face. She looked much different than when I met her, her hair looked voluminous and shiny, her skin was supple and blemish free, her eyes were perfectly color balanced; she looked healthy and rejuvenated.
"Yes, it is the only place I can think of that is safe and large enough for everyone to stay together. People without soulmate marks cannot get within 50 kilometers of the island let alone step foot on it, it's the island's natural defense" Sienna went on to explain.
"So Minji and Minsu can't come with us" I asked, unhappy with the thought of having to leave my siblings behind to maneuver through this shit show alone. "I don't like that. Are there exceptions?"
"Minsu and Minji don't have marks? Hmm" Sienna was surprised by this information and that made me curious. She clearly knows more than she's shared so far, and I intended to find out everything she knows and how it affects us.
"No, we don't but it's okay, we'll be fine" Minji tried to smile. She rubbed my hand in an effort to assure me that they'd be okay. "I think it's a great idea, no one on the island would be out to cause you harm or rat you out. Think of it as a vacation, after the hellish recent months you all have had it would be well deserved."
"Unnie, I don't want to leave you and Minsu here by yourselves."
"They can stay on the mainland, while they can't step on the island, they can stay close by. There is a small fishing village on the coast that can accommodate them for as long as needed." our grandmother offered. Dr. Moon nodded in agreement and wrote something down.
"I think it would be best to leave today, if possible, that way only a very small, select group of people will know and lessen the chance of a leak." He spoke. I agreed, leaving the same day would be a smart choice.
"So, we should let Sejin and Bang-PD know and get back to the safe house to pack," Seokjin suggested, pushing his luscious hair back from his face. With that everyone started talking over each other and making important phone calls to trusted contacts.
I sat quietly amongst the hum of voices and keyboard clacks, trying to take my mind through all possible scenarios, good and bad, and play out the best possible outcome but I only succeeded in overwhelming myself. I began to panic which made Yoongi and Hoseok come to my side and calm me.
"We're going to be okay baby, come here" Hobi wrapped his arms around me and kissed the side of my face while rubbing my back.
"As long as we are together, we will get through this" Yoongi comforted me. I took a few deep breaths to decrease my hard pounding heartbeat.
"I think you should leave in groups, no less than two hours apart and from different base points" Granny's voice cut through the cacophony of noise within the conference room. Another person I was leaving behind and for a second time, why was my life this way? "If you all leave at the same time you are bound to be spotted especially if you look like you're in a hurry. Take some time to map out a proper plan of action so you'll have a smooth execution."
